You associated Parramatta's governance failures, illegalities re their salary cap issues with HBG.......hence your proposition to present the petition to Liquor and Gaming and the minister of Gaming.

What's the petition questioning?

Illegalities re structure?

Unconstitutional behaviour and compliance?

What is the purpose of the petition? Lack of compliance re governance?

What is implied or accused that you would ask the minister and Liquor and Gaming to act on?

Also, what of HBG WA members? Seems this is designed to go above them.

Important questions?

Even a simple name change of the wests tigers club , the prized asset of the HBG , would be unconstitutional! Considering the 5 debenture board holders of HBG weren’t democratically elected and as such, have zero commitment or accountability to the wider HBG membership .
 
The only way out of this mess is 1. Rich consortium buys the club outright operates out of the two ground policy 2, Rich consortium buys the club and moves lock stock and barrel to Campbelltown
3. Clubs splits upon which the Nrl just may turnaround say see ya to both clubs which is a very distinct possibility considering Vandy's stance of clubs struggling financially.

Elon Musk will buy the club before we are ever based out of Campbelltown full time. I gave up on that dream 10 years ago.

When people decided to join HBG the constitution and set up of club was already in place.

Besides, they aren't obliged but I'd like an answer from cochise or Joel.

Money isn’t the issue

The NRL grants to clubs is much more than the salary cap

So this is serious not just some media beat up. This is absolutely disgusting. The N.R.L must intervene to end it and tell both Balmain and Wests what you have now is all you'll get. If you split you will not ever be allowed back into the competition. You have to make it work.
Us fans that came from the Wests and Balmain days before the merger know these clubs but the generation after us don't. All they know is the Wests Tigers.
What we are doing now with the petition to the HBG group isn't for us but for the kids of today who only know of the Wests Tigers. So the club can finally move on into sustained success, so the kids today never have to go through what we went through. The N.R.L needs to sit down with both sides and say the Wests Tigers either works or there is no longer Wests or Balmain. Until they do that all these people with these stupid ideas of splitting the merger will never stop.

In fairness to Balmain this a story by a nothing writer and even if the NZ club has reached out to Balmain there's no saying they are the slightest bit interested.

Don't agree.

The primary petition, review led to his power play.

This current one is questioning WA structure which has been in place for a long time which 27000 members have become members of.

Other than destabilising HBG what else can current petition achieve?

The primary review was about the Wests Tiger governance not HBG. The powerplay happened imo as there are people behind the scenes who are not willing to allow the Wests Tigers autonomy away from the HBG. Hence why the implementation of the reviews findings havnt been implemented yet.
The petition now is about looking into the structure and governance of the HBG. The destabilisation was caused by Romero and others booting 3 boardmembers out, imo as they refuse to allow the Wests Tigers independence. The board members were all on board with the reviews findings. Romero and her side seem reluctant to implement them. If she believed in implementing the review, the Tigers would have an independant board ages ago.
 
Not that I know the details of this issue such as many of you on the forum , but my layman’s perspective and that would be of the wider NRL community and average west tigers supporter. Is as follows


1) Why would the liquor and gaming board get involved? Has there been illegalities , fraud, organisation going broke?

Seems certain sections are just pissed off how west tigers operate . West tigers for one thing have nothing to do with the liquor and gaming board.

They got involved with the eels as the NRL due to connections with the actual government got them involved due to the alleged fraud occurring with the salary cap scandal.

As far as boards infighting and shit it would have nothing to do with the liquor board.

2)To me and many others this shitshow started with the review because closet/deep down ex Balmain supporters and officials can’t handle wests ownership of the west tigers.

Would Souths owners give up control to others on the board , would politis give up control of his board , have the penns given up their control , has win corporation lessened their board representation on dragons board … then why’s should HBG give up control when they actually own more of the west tigers than the various parties I listed on those respective clubs .

3) Reason why west tigers perform shit each season is that they are weak willed and cave to public perception from supporters and media and just cave and try the next thing and begin the circle.

Just like how media and supporters drove sheens out of town who had a plan not dissimilar to what Gus has been doing at the dogs … difference is they kept him despite media pressure and pissed off supporters in his first couple of years and now they are reaping the rewards.

Slam me all you want but what are the motivations , connection or relationship of those organising this petition have with various powerbrokers of the club
