That’s right & I forgot he was also Chairman of the WT in 2005 and one of few non-players to be a WT Life Member.

And to answer my own question from earlier I found out John is Peter Hardgrove’s brother.

Given the family relationship, I do hope Julie listens to reason from John.

I don’t think it’s too much of a reach to say that Liquor and Gaming will probably scrutinise the debenture system given the personal relationships many of the debenture holders have with each other.

I knew it was a bs system but I didn’t realise just how bad and blatant the problem was.

This isn’t a crack at John either. The guy spoke well, was articulate and showed a lot of courage and integrity in his statement.

I have had a 1 interaction with L&G. I had been doing a bit of work for a large organisation that runs clubs in basically every town large enough to support them. I'm sure you can work which organisation. The club i was working out of had a magnifying glass put on it by L&G and they looked at every thing from the board, to who hired the conference room and sold raffle tickets, the cleaners etc it was extremely thorough.

Best thing about it is if he's come forward now calling for it to be blown up and rebuilt, there are others and it wouldn't take much for another coup to start. What goes around always comes around
