Joel though wouldn't the Tigers potentially still end up in the same position after, of people on the board of the Tigers representing other entities and not the Tigers. Hypothetically if there is this "change" what stops the next mob carrying on the same as the lot were stuck with now.Leave both heritage clubs out, or potentially give Balmain and Magpies one seat each as they are a big part of junior development for the NRL franchise.

I can give you 3 reasons and that would be the 3 current owners of Wests Tigers. None of them in a million years would willingly give up there stake in Wests Tigers and there is no way of forcing them to do so. This is just pure fantasy stuff and not constructive at all !Yep, find me a downside.
Aren’t all the franchise contracts up for renewal in a few years?I can give you 3 reasons and that would be the 3 current owners of Wests Tigers. None of them in a million years would willingly give up there stake in Wests Tigers and there is no way of forcing them to do so. This is just pure fantasy stuff and not constructive at all !
Appropriate governance of the Wests Tigers is supposed to be at the core of all this ! Maybe that's where the focus should stay and not be diverted with such fanciful distractions !
Yeah back in 2013 they sold their 25% ownership to Wests Ashfield. Don’t think Wests Ashfield will sell the club to Wests Campbelltown if they tried to buy it from them.Didn't they decide to sell their share of the joint earlier to Ashfield?
Wests Group Campbelltown sold their shares because they felt as if they weren't heard by their Ashfield and Balmain counterparts when it came to the operation of Wests Tigers. the decision was recommended by former CEO, Tony Mathew, but was approved by the board at the time which has barely changed in the years that have followed.HBG can have the pokies and Rozelle, and support Wests Magpies (their charter). Wests Tigers can play heritage games at Leichhardt but become MacArthur focussed (fast growing region in Australia), existing sponsors like Pepper and Wakelings would be happy.
Yep, find me a downside.
For me the credible option is waiting to see who they appoint onto the Wests Tigers board. I'll form an opinion on their actions then.A bit. But Joel is probably just looking for a mental release with the way some people are posting. No one will earn any decent coin for wests tigers podcasts.
I still haven't heard a credible alternative option to fix an obvious problem that has manifested in us getting 3 wooden spoons, missing the finals for a decade and often impacts us being able to recruit quality.
Just seems like a big circle jerk from some who have no plan B besides the status quo.
I posted on another forum for this and they are suggesting 1 team, 1 ground, 1 owner.. and I mean they are right. But we are getting people pushing back ON TRYING for an obvious governance tweak.
We deserve the spoon again. Deadset laughing stock.
Yes. Fold the club and sell the NRL licence to the new Western Australia based 'West Tigers'.Would it have something to do with Western Australia?
Hey I wasn’t advocating for it I was just having a guess.Yes. Fold the club and sell the NRL licence to the new Western Australia based 'West Tigers'.
@gallagher can be ChairmanI'm sure the Perth Scorchers board isn't anything like ours.

I’m hearing it’s Bob Burgess, Ray Romero and Tony Tropiano. Apparently all 3 are highly regarded by the board and have been thoroughly investigated and come with great business backgrounds. For me the credible option is waiting to see who they appoint onto the Wests Tigers board. I'll form an opinion on their actions then.
If the club is folded there is absolutely no guarantee 'Tigers' will be anywhere in its description. Be careful what you wish for.Yes. Fold the club and sell the NRL licence to the new Western Australia based 'West Tigers'.
Be really ironic if it was a consortium of Lee and Pascoe seeing as how they are big time sporting entrepreneurs these days.I never said I know something, I’m just really surprised that we haven’t all got to the point where we aren’t asking why this option isn’t on the table. It would solve a hell of a lot of issues once and for all. I would like to think these people are watching the situation very closely, in fact I reckon they would be because they seem pretty switched on.
I think that's fair. That's only come out in recent days, potentially due to the pressure from the petition. For me the credible option is waiting to see who they appoint onto the Wests Tigers board. I'll form an opinion on their actions then.
