What? Most of that stuff hadn’t happened 12 months ago.

I understand it’s been a long slog and that fans need to see the proof but things are looking up.
Which is my point. Things are looking up but then they always crash down at the tigers. It's not going to improve under benji

Great show,

I'll have to bring out all my sleeper alternative accounts to counter the certain posters that have a dozen or more.

Maybe we need a thread on people's alternative accounts.

More than 1 account per poster isn't a true representation of viewpoints.
It’s funny how many accounts you see commenting on threads like this that do not contribute to any footy related threads.

On that well just have to wait and see.

Don’t forget Pascoe tried every flavour of coach from great to ordinary, didn’t make a lick of difference.

Players are the key.

Don't recall Cronulla or Melbourne or Manly failing to perform because of supposed management issues.
Manly's season hit the wall big time and stalled after Management thought that their woke rainbow initiative was a great idea and brought it on with virtually no consultation with the football department or the playing group.

The most disturbing part was that they took no ownership of the disaster they created and left it to the coach and the captain to front the media and try to smooth over a management disaster that they played no part in creating themselves.

I do seem to recall that one.

One good thing about all this hoo haa with Denny boy and julie is that Benji has flown under the radar somewhat left to do what he needs to do.
He don't need pressure now but there'll be plenty on him after six or eight weeks and we are worse than 3/3 or 4/4

He definitely needs at least a climb up the ladder and improved quality of football, I think he’ll get it with the new cattle in the backs.

I noticed Joel Helmes gave you a thumbs up, so there must be a pretty strong reason for Barry to be elected as Chair.
Don't tell anyone bb, I think Barry is from the Balmain side of the JV and I believe he has had a liking for expensive wine for many years, so maybe he will be able to give everyone a taste at the AGM.
Maybe someone should tell WESTS Ashfield to make sure the riot police are there though, as you suggested a riot could ensue.
That’s funny … you don’t seem to have a problem with the former affinities of any the other directors had.
Plus, as far as I am aware, Barry’s involvement has only been with WestsTigers?

Hells bells gang. We have gotten what we wanted and apart from the review being the missing piece we are in a much better place. Can a few of you holster the keyboards and just enjoy the remaining few weeks until season start and then we can be against every other team and cheer for WT?

Players are not the key. Coaches aren't the key. Board is not the key. Fans are not the key. It's the culture that is the key! I know someone related to a tigers player that said the culture there made him give up and he was trying at the start. Standards, hard work, discipline, over hype

I can't wait for the season to start.
Yep, for the first time in a long time I'm optimistic the club will perform pretty well and built something. And, the club itself finally is in a better place, whether willingly or dragged kicking a screaming, depending on viewpoints which have been viewed here.
I love the players recruited, glad for the players gone from the roster and hopefully a great guiding coaching staff and for the lower grades from KOE downwards to have good seasons too.

It’s a circular discussion but that player is part of the problem.

The best players don’t give up because of culture. They drive it. Not to say they won’t leave because there isn’t hope.

Yep. I’d say having a senior playing group who buy into the vision set out by the club are the biggest driver of culture.

That Gallen / Wade Graham / Luke Lewis combination at Cronulla for the 2016 Premiership was a prime example. Got Barba firing.

Can’t see Flanno recreating it at Saints.

Flanno will get it right if they stick with him

I think he will struggle. IMO He has a bunch of misfits and ex tigers 😝
