I’m more bemused that THAT was the key take away from my actual point. An off handed comment to prove what I was saying, and that’s the direction it goes in.

And until it’s proven otherwise, the succession plan to Marshall was ridiculous and something only Sheens would have done.

Anyone think forgotten Johnny Morris may get the gig if Benji can’t do it this year? He’s shown more as a FG coach than Benji has. I’ll back BM for half the season if we don’t defend like bustards- benji like other rookies has failed and has something to prove (same as his playing career over time) - and he’ll be busting his arse to win the TV show - problem is the hard working serviceable players like Morris are usually better coaches. I wanted Flanagan (because he is a c word) - but I’m glad he is not here. I’d love Benj to succeed, but how many super star players like him have been successful? Ivan was great but no Benji and that’s all that comes to mind

I would say that if there have been failures, it may not just be Benji.

How about John Morris, is he actually the guy that is responsible for our defence, something that has been a major problem for us for a very long time and still is.

I have high hopes of our attack going ahead in leaps and bounds this season, let's hope that our defence starts heading in the same direction.
