Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

There was a time around 2016-17, I grew nostalgic for Sheens and wanted to come back in a GM type role, similar to Gus. Too bad once he actually came back, his ego got the better of him. And until it’s proven otherwise, the succession plan to Marshall was ridiculous and something only Sheens would have done.
i wanted a vibrant Sheens - we got a somewhat hollow old man

Game had passed him by. Tried re-creating 05 by giving the players a licence to throw the ball around. That lasted about two weeks once he realised our backline consisted of Naden and Staines.
2 weeks in the knifing started,? Pasco n co thought an outsider would chase the scary straight talking man away.

Anybody ? if Richo started at a 5 ,taking in mind there is a long haul ahead, how does he sit on the Rickto Scale.i got him at a 5.65

Anyone think forgotten Johnny Morris may get the gig if Benji can’t do it this year? He’s shown more as a FG coach than Benji has. I’ll back BM for half the season if we don’t defend like bustards- benji like other rookies has failed and has something to prove (same as his playing career over time) - and he’ll be busting his arse to win the TV show - problem is the hard working serviceable players like Morris are usually better coaches. I wanted Flanagan (because he is a c word) - but I’m glad he is not here. I’d love Benj to succeed, but how many super star players like him have been successful? Ivan was great but no Benji and that’s all that comes to mind

I would say that if there have been failures, it may not just be Benji.

How about John Morris, is he actually the guy that is responsible for our defence, something that has been a major problem for us for a very long time and still is.

I have high hopes of our attack going ahead in leaps and bounds this season, let's hope that our defence starts heading in the same direction.

With 1200 posts over 15 yrs you don't have to guess anything about how the forum is run
It’s being run a lot better than it used to be. Some mods got personal. I got pulled up on some banter the other day, asked me to reword my post, and then asked how I was and we had a bit of a chat, and now we have more of a connection as to where we’re both coming from. I won’t name him/her but they will know who they are.
A couple of years ago I was in hospital and called it “the motel” a couple of times and two mods cottoned on and pm’d me, and during my months at that motel and the following years of recovery they would check in on me. Again, they know who they are.
This forum, although can get a bit sharp from some members, is just passionate Tigers fans and that includes the mods. Where as I used to feel there was a hierarchy and the rest of us were allowed to use their forum.
Great work to all mods.
