My left field thoughts. Plan A.
1. Make Galvin the 1/2. Reason being he gets to touch the ball regularly. his wish list. But told to off load to supports or Luai. Luai is more creative and a much better tactical kicker.
2. Galvin loves running, so gave him the task of following the forwards in the middle for an offload. This saves Bula following the ruck who can now be utilised by Luai as the extra man in the backline.
Plan B: Luai came here on the promise of the 1/2 position. Galvin the incumbent 5/8, BUT....... if it doesn't work out for whatever reason,(given another couple of weeks to test), there needs to be some serious discussions with the coach as to why not?
4. Not overly impressed in Latu's performance last weekend at 1/2, but I do think 5/8 is his go.
That said Luai at 1/2, Latu at 5/8 and Galvin in the centres. This gives Galvin a opportunity to observe what is needed from the halves in the passing, straightening the attack, deft kicking aspect of the game. Things he lacks at the moment. Benji needs to very persuasive is this regard and hopefully Galvin can learn and not be the happy puppy that just wants to play?
Comments please.
