Sadly if it takes that long to gel our season could be well and truly over, I think Luai needed the run expect improvement next game.

I think you, me and the hole forum are praying they pull their finger out, makes you ponder the question what did they do all summer, leave out the attacking drills, the next game is a good test of where we are at parra were poor we should be able to exploit their weaknesses, expectations doubt we can make the 8 still too many holes in the roster.

So many new faces in the side some not played at all and some to come back in it's like a jigsaw puzzle at the beginning, it will improve but it has to happen quickly unless when it does, we go on a long winning run.
Don’t forget both dummy halves are young and inexperienced that passed him the ball every time he called for it (agree overplayed)
With the return of API that will stop.
I’m expecting a lot better game management now one of the best dummy half’s in the game is back
in our team.
TDS is learning his craft lets not expect to much to early in the game management part.

The 1 thing I really would have liked to see Galvin to work on in the off season was his speed off the mark / over 5 metres .....think we can put an X next to that

My optimism has gone already...
I am just trying to work out, with Newcastle offering Dylan brown 13m over 10 years... Should we be competing for Galvin or see if Fletcher Sharpe is wanting a go?
Knights will persist with Sharpe I reckon. It’s Brown they have signed to be their HB I feel. Big season of development for him but he is essentially doing a Luai 1 season later.

Turuva was shakey, but to be expected.
But yes, this game came down to Luai and Galvin. Galvin was outclassed and Luai did not control the game. They need to do more and the low score is on them.

He’s not a halfback. Unlike Luai who grew another leg last year when moved to halfback, Brown floundered at 7 when Moses was out.

It took Brooks ten years to perfect the kick into the legs of the opposition, Galvin has nailed it in year two. Once he learns how to put up those timid bombs on tackle six directly to the opposition winger and gets flattened by a banner he could be the next (Daniel) Johns.
I think knights have a bit of a luxury with Ponga in their side.
When they can repeatedly make the 8 with Cogger and Gamble I think replacing either with Brown is a huge improvement.
Brown is big, quick, physical, great defender and a good kicker. He can play halfback, he was a 7 in his juniors, he’ll be a 7 again.

Saw him at Cambo on Friday night, lost a lot of weight and looked in pretty good shape compared to when he first joined us
Galvin gone IMO with the Brown announcement.
Few reasons on this:
1 IF he wanted to stay, he would have committed already and got more money for 25/26
2 With Brown get 1.3mil for 10 years this will make Galvin and his camp want over 1mil + which he is not worth it.
I think Knights are mad but for us to keep Galvin now we will have to be over 1mil and that's madness.
Eels , Dogs, Roosters will be the main players to snap him up and I really don't care which way it goes tbh. Richardson has so far been delivering a competitive roster which his camp wanted so balls in his court.

On Galvin, certainly not going to write him off after a poor round one game in a team that showed zero teamwork.
