I feel everything Richie mentioned re Moses and Luia combo is perfectly plausible.
But Anasta countered with ‘didn’t Luai leave Penrith and his partnership with Nathan to be the main man’?
I guess it’s an option if he feels it isn’t working at the Tigers but I doubt that’s what his about.
If the Eels are serious though, they would try and sign Luai before Galvin.

Was reading the article just now and Pezet was also mentioned as a possible target for the Eels.

To which Anastasia (autocorrect, but I'm leaving it!) divulged that if Hughes re-signed, Pezet has a clause in his contract that means he is a free agent.

Is Anasta managing NRL players whilst his other/main job is having his opinions on the NRL and NRL players broadcast and published nation wide not a conflict of interest?!

Yes, it's drawing a long bow, but you could argue he is putting out inside information that has effectively told Parramatta his client's availability, in a way saying "Hey, my client is available"....

It was the same when the Tigers were apparently chasing Munster. Iirc, he is his agent as well.

I only want our club to sign players who for one , want to be here with out a huge fight Over money .
I would like to see players stay or come to this club thinking we will be competitive and play for us for fair coin , I know it won’t happen as there are players that think they are worth much more than they are , EG

I saw an article on Fox sports today where Isaac Moses said he will be taking Galvin to market on 1 November.

That being the case, Galvin may well sign elsewhere for 2027. If he does, I wouldn’t be letting him go for nothing, but I would prefer to swap him for a player we need for the 2026 season as opposed to making him play reserve grade out of spite.

I’d leave all options open, but it would need to be a good swap.

Lachie's rapid ascent is ill timed for our salary cap strategy. He will command too much money for us to even be the highest bidder.

So far I have not liked the look of how the gameplan looks with him at 6 anyway. They are weaponising his fitness by making him run himself stupid criss crossing across the field to create artificial overlaps and that has worked almost every time but he's busting a gut so hard to get there that by the time he gets there he isn't composed enough to calculate the correct decision. He has pulled the wrong reign on almost every possible try scoring opportunity created by that structure.

It appears to have been their entire attacking gameplan and it relies entirely on not only his fitness but him being an expert at instantly summarising the right play to make. His strength as a player is getting the ball early with time and space and threatening with his feet. He instinctively is a catch and run player which when put in a situation where most of the time the correct move is catch and pass he is missing the queue each time.

Benji and the team have worked against his natural instincts with this gameplan imo. I am worried if they don't have a plan b this year. Galvin is going to take ages to develop the ability to instantly catch and pass to the correct option. He's going to need to guess.

He is fit, but not fast. He doesn’t have footwork, he is not threatening with his feet. He has a fend which worked for him in the jnrs because he is tall and has reach. He can pass and put players into a hole. If the outside player knows how to spot and run at a hole.

Not sure how a bottom club can build a decent roster to get off the bottom while ever the current system allows managers to offer any of their decent players up for sale while still contracted forcing ridiculous contract stipulations to have any hope of retaining. It has to effect the team, the player and leaves a club treading water trying to keep players happy without knowing what their true intentions are - "I've left it in the hands of my manager"
You can lay crap on the club for not being able to get off the bottom but it is becoming more apparent that unless things change we will remain a transition club for old talent, new talent, and those who don't give a crap - that pays well for the visit.

I just don’t get this so called rush for players to join the slimmmy eels , if anything BROWN leaving should be ringing bells he could have squeezed a bit more money out of them if he wanted to stay , BUT what the hell do they have that everyone once to go there , they push Galvin out and he wants to go back the kid needs to see a doctor or his parents need mental help

The NRL won’t fix anything. It’s there for all to see and they still won’t do anything.
It makes them money that’s why, the more Fox make on click bait stories, the more the NRL can ask for at the next TV contract.

We got enough contracts wrapping up at the end of this year to cover Galvin

Idk about this lock business. I’m yet to hear one commentator suggest such a move. The only place I have heard he’s destined for the forwards is this forum. But everyone seems to be reading writing on the all for us signing May, yet there’s writing on the wall for Galvin leaving too

- Asks for a release twice last year
- Spits the dummy in the dressing room after the game
- Won’t commit to the club, uses the old “Leaving it up to my manager”
- Management notifies other clubs of their intentions to take him to the market

If you were looking for indications that a player and his management wanted out of a club the first chance they got, you couldn’t find any better examples of the above. The question will be what will do with him in 26.

The manager can "offer him up" but he is not going anywhere. Richardson has enforced boundaries. 2 years is a long time. We have him on a modest contract. The next 2 years are probably going to be his best as a 6. Fainu imo is a better prospect at 6 or 7 so while you may consider him a "key", we have other keys including young Mason. Our pathways is strong so if he does go, we have options.

I think any player who has Moses as their manager should be considered off limits , to the point that our players should be warned about him , and our refusal to deal with him .
He’s just bad news . At the moment his whole and sole focus is getting as many players to the sea eagles as he can to help support seibold . Also his nephew and his success would be also a priority .
The family chose Moses and his firm , there’s not much more you can do , but make a competitive offer , understand whether or not it has a chance of success ( a real chance , not a stringing along to screw everyone over bar the team who signed him ) success .
I personally think we should ascertain Galvins real intentions , and adjust accordingly ie. prioritise Latu if it comes to that .
Of all the players Moses has steered away from us , really only Tedesco had immediate success , and it’s taken his nephew till he’s 29 to break into the origin team , so 9 years. With just as much failure at his club as he would have had here .
He ruined Woods career, even Marty Taupau was on a huge trajectory at our club , and whilst he had a decent career at manly , he was on a rocket to the moon when he was playing for us .
He almost torched the career of Seibold as well by backdoor negotiating him to the broncos .
He convinces his players to chase the money at all costs , and if love to know his true strike rate with advancing their careers . Not just here , but other clubs as well .
