Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Player agent commissions are paid monthly over the length of the contract, the same as when the player gets paid. They are not paid up front.
The commission grows monthly if you can get a better deal.

Further, you don't know whether there is a contract signing fee/paperwork fee.

The agent is incentivised to have get out clauses to grow their commissions and fees one way or another.

Fittler and Daley had an X factor about them. They were big blokes who had explosive speed. They hit the line with power and had the ball skills to keep the play going after they had broken the line. They were also committed defenders.
He may end up as good as them one day…there’s certainly little indication currently that he will, but you never say never. I do believe he will have a lengthy first grade career.
It hasn’t been a great start though and for that reason I think it’s madness to reward him in such a way.
Agree with Tucker here,
No where near as dangerous in attack as Fittler & Daley were at the same age, both of these two were a lot bigger in the body and turned out to be superstars.
Players like these two don’t come around very often.
By Galvin not extending now could work both ways, because if he doesn’t have a good year his value might drop from what the $ figures being mentioned at the moment.
Richo has to balance the salary cap budget and I don’t know if having 2 halves on massive dollars leaves enough for other positions
Eg.
A gun Centre or 2nd Rower

So Parra gonna have $ 1 million to spend min for next year , and I think we have both Luai and Galvin able to take offers November 1 is this correct , And if so do we play hard ball with Galvin and request he resign asap or we bring in Latu now and drop Galvin , we can’t play a guy who wants to leave , Richo should allow offers now for Galvin

Who knows what's going to happen between now and then.

November 1 is off season.

Let's just get through this season and see where it all lands.

Trust the Tigers to screw up the calendar. Looks like we’re getting May twice this year 🤔

He doesn't lead any statistics in NRL or even close to it. Tries, try assists, etc. He's done all he has in a great penrith system picking his moments when on the front foot. On the back foot, which he contributed to on the weekend, he failed in the crunch moments. I'm prepared to say I'd prefer to have Luke Brooks right now who can actually win a game as opposed to luai who is simply not a match winner.

I’m sure Galvin will stay if our next offer is competitive and we win a lot more games this year. He won’t stay if our offer is well short or we are close to the bottom again.

Richo’s biggest problem will be Benji if we don’t start winning more games. Nice bloke or not Benji needs more wins than losses.

One STATISTIC About Brooks that has not been mentioned, the amount of games he had lost for us over 10 yrs about 25 at least,
Because of his errors.

Those figure's would far outway the amount of games he won for us,
10 yrs Maybe 3 or 4.
Possibly.

Moses is his manager. Braith asked on nrl360 who his manager was (as if he didn't know), that's where you might have gotten your wires crossed. There's a lot of hyperbole & emotional hypochondria surrounding players leaving from the usual suspects on here. Rd.1 man, enjoy the ride
They never ever let up on it .. the same bloody posters constantly and continually whining or yelling that Galvin is gone .. I’m starting to think Isaac Moses has 5 sock accounts on here like a Jedi

Chammas & Weidler chat about Taylan May then Lachie Galvin from about the 25-min mark.

That was pretty telling. Chammas gave away lot there in that segment. Especially the part where he insinuated Moses is shopping him while still on contract, and when he mentioned that Gus (who he knows very well from %100 footy etc.) has been angling to get Galvins signature, we've been saying that for over a year on here that his compliments towards him haven't been in good faith & that he's using his position in the media and as CEO to influence and outcome on a player in the market. It's tampering pretty much.
