He still is by all reports. I guess now and after he retires he'll need to do rehab.Thought Olam was looking at a backdoor option for retirement. What's happening there?

Looks like he's in Flanno's plans and he'll see plenty of first grade provided he stays healthy. That's why I reckon he took it, at least while he's in the shop window clubs can see that he can offer something at his age, he can't do that in reserve grade so it would have ment retirement.
Just the club doctor toeing the PR line. Medical retirement is not official from the NRL yet so all he can say is what Olam is doing now and that is his rehab.Thought Olam was looking at a backdoor option for retirement. What's happening there?
Club injury report email to members:
Bula & Turuva (ankles from Parra game) both looking good for tomorrow; Naden (round 5 or 6), Olam (going through rehab protocols, should be an update soon), Luke Laulilii (passed HIA protocols & will be ok to play next week).
Could be good info. Some of these content creators do get info from players.
In terms of takes and knowledge really don't rate 'Guru', the guy doesn't have much of an idea at all. He is the old "stay one lesson ahead of the kids" teacher analogy. I remember when Da Silva was making his debut he said on a podcast that he was a gun fullback and knew nothing about him. Same with a few other players over the years. Other than the Roosters, he really knows nothing about the lower grades. Also heard from people who have meet him that he loves talking himself up, which is strange in itself.
However. there are some other really good social media pages and creators that have god insights to the juniors like "theshortball" on Instagram and for West Tigers juniors, NBWT on Twitter/X.
Kind words but a bit more winning footy required by them to be the best , compared to the Storm who are No 1!Don't know if anyone posted yet:

Wests Tigers have the best spine in the game? Shane Richardson was just about on the money
Jarome Luai, Api Koroisau, Lachie Galvin and Jahream Bula play their second NRL game together on Saturday.www.smh.com.au

Storms spine is approximately twice as good as ours.Kind words but a bit more winning footy required by them to be the best , compared to the Storm who are No 1!
We need a thread for “juniors that people fear will sign elsewhere “ so that this thread can just be about suggested signings for this club ..Why would our club release TDS early from his contract? We also have Galvin for another 2 years. Richardson will not release some of our best young starts so other clubs can benefit.
Why would he do that ? API is Fijian mate , and grew up supporting the Wests Tigers .. as did Tallyn , apparently he grew up dreaming to be a wests player in the NRL and is living the dream.TDS is still a long way to proving he is a NRL No9, time will tell, but the signs look good. Keep him, and in 3 years API goes to the PNG side as a franchise player on big money.
You do realise that Champion teams require more than 13 starting players ?If Galvin extends , there is no chance that both Sullivan and Latu are on the team in 2026 …maybe both could be gone …so $550k ( and maybe $1m) at least saved right there which on its own probably takes care of Galvin
100 💯 this .. truly thought this thread was about signings of players people would like to see added to our team,, not this constant , relentless, doomsday speculation about our own players leaving just as they became NRL quality players ..Haha wow your talking him up like Cameron Smith.
He's got a long way to go before he's even in the top 10 of hookers. He's signed to end of 2026 as well.
No idea why people on here go on a bout it. Bad as the media.

Totally ageee that all rubbish media stuff should be in a different thread if mods are happy? 🙏so you don’t want to keep Galvin ,,,because he is too expensive ?
Yea, and Nah.From what was presented in the media, Richardson offered an upgraded and extended contract. Galvin is playing beside Luai, one of the NRL's best halves. There are few clubs which could offer that opportunity. His manager and family do not have to balance the club's books.
