Racing tips, talk etc

JT,

Don Scott was one of my heroes and I agree with your kg x length. I’ve got every one of his books, even the really skinny first one. He wrote a play I’ve been unable to find 😡

Computers have caught up with his card system and although I’m not really a fan, race and sectional times have taken over.

Give me “The Legal Eagles” any day 👍
I still don’t back horses second up from a spell

Just finalising my form for tomorrow and looking at radar maps from Sydney and Brisbane, both meetings may be very doubtful. At the very least they’ll both be heavybb no tracks !
I’ll be at Flemington and forecast there is looking ok.

2025 Grand National from Aintree, UK - it's on in the early hours AEST

A bit late with this but Horse racing fans down under can watch the big race from Aintree for free via the Racing.com TV channel and Racing.com website, ie via Foxtel sports

And the international jocks all live in the same apartment complex.
I’ve been to Happy Valley and Shatin probably a dozen times each, when I lived and worked in Asia. You can get into the Members stand with an international passport, last time I think I paid $100HKG which was about $20AUD.
Interesting betting over there, quinellas and place doubles ( duets) are hugely popular, along with place betting. Of course, win pools massive as well but rank and file punters favour the exotics. But not trifectas and first four, not liked by Hk punters.
The really big one is Triple Trio where you have to pick the trifecta in 3 designated races. If not won it jackpots and can get to some serious numbers.
And lastly, most of the profit made by the HK JC is channeled into various charities which is an interesting way to support those organisations.
Great post Hal.

Does anyone on the forum ever use a free form guide called Racing Zone, it's form section goes missing like every second week, does anyone have the same problem, look at it when the big races are on.

Not quite M but almost . Beaten a half head on both Smokin Princess and Sunshineinmypocket in last 2 races. If they win it’s Peking Duck, but the baked beans on toast I just had were tasty( cooking tip, add Worcestershire sauce for added flavour).
Tiring day as I had a 1.5hr drive each way to the track and I’m stuffed. Time for this old timer to hit the sack.
