Ink- I like cheese

The Chad- We should sign Jack Hetherington

Poster 17- Apparently we like KPP

Every other poster- we hate KPP

For those that skipped the last 15 pages- short recap of events.
Hetherington, you say?

Thank you Newcastle for signing Dylan Brown.

Man makes Luai seem like an absolute bargain. I truly don't get why people are pumping the "next guns" with the "next player managers who are going to demand the next multi-million dollar contract now".

Oh but we got to re-sign Galvin because he is the "next best Issac Moses player"... Because he may not stay at our club for 10 years on 10ish million dollars. As if there won't be a next generation of Gun players around the corner!

I really don't get it. When you see Tom Brady win the NFL and when you see DCE, Hunt and co... Why spend a stack of money on a "Maybe" and next best thing.

Newie did a desperate decision.

Guys and girls, pro-tip with dating. Never look desperate.
The cycle just continues.
If we dont secure Galvin, whats to say these "next best Issac Moses player" end up the same way
As ive said before...this retention is so important to us and would send a message we arent a feeder for other clubs to take our best, we arent merely making yo numbers...they want to stay and theres belief and confidence finally in the joint

Break the cycle

I wonder if he is any cheaper than a guy like keon kantspellhisnametangi
Based on previous comments Kolo is pretty loyal to the Rabbits.
Very good player and any club would be lucky to have him, but just can’t see him leaving.
I think our club is banking on at least one of our own emerging big bodied back rowers in Sukkar, Broederlow or Taotua making the steps required to become genuine NRL quality players within the next 6-12 months, obviously Sukkar gets a chance to prove his worth tonight.
All 3 have the size and athleticism required, but all 3 have also demonstrated they can be lazy and suspect defenders.
As I’ve said before, defending is more of an attitude and mindset than anything else, so if they want to become regular NRL players bad enough, they will knuckle down and prioritise getting their defence in order.

Why don’t they ban % of players money for these agents. Dare I say it, there are sports and M&A lawyers who could do these deals and they can’t take a clip - except for their high hourly rates. At least they are heavily regulated professionals. And yes, there are some shockers. Is there a code of conduct for player agents? Moses really seems to be scum and lining his own pockets and would seem not likely for his players best interests or that of the game. I am all for players getting what they are worth. And the cap is not going down. Surely such an organization like the NRL can do something better around all this. Ah well, hope Galvin signs and we keep Latu, TDS, Laui and Bula. Can they get suspended for not acting ‘in the spirit of the game’ 🤔

The Roosters are in a rebuild phase
Talent is limited across the whole NRL and expansion will make it even more critical to retain and recruit the best.
Its got the Teddy scenario written all over it even down to the manager.
Im sure Roosters are it,but years dont quite line up..
DCE for 26 and 27
Walker same
Galvin probably from 27
So they have 3 x $1mill halves in 27??
Im really looking forward to seeing Latu tonite ..just hope they dont get in each others way trying to impress

I agree, break the cycle.

Easts have apparently refused new Moses players, why don't we?
Moses virtually ruined Parra's ability to solidify their roster. Their talent developed a greedy attitude that became highly negative.

All I am saying, we know a Moses player will demand $$$$$, why don't we avoid the drama and build/sign talent that's not managed by Moses?

If all clubs did that it would put him out of business, it will never happen but we can only dream the game would be better without him.

Yes Issac Moses is trying to pimp Galvin and he will try to push Galvin to Easts. Ofcourse Issac is having Teddy convince Galvin to leave.

Issac wants 2-3 offers so he gets more money (which is his job).

But Easts are going with DCE and Smith. They may also be looking at moving Teddy to 5/8 which IMHO would make sense. Galvin won't want to play center there and Easts won't be paying 1m for him to do so.

Teams that are actually missing halves are far more dangerous. St George, Parramatta, etc.

Its a real dilemna with Isaac Moses managed players..
Galvin we sorta inherited that combo,so u know exactly what yr gonna get..it will be one helluva shitfight to retain him,and if it does end well,it will be be expensive.
Thats Moses job I guess..but WE made Galvin, and deserve some loyalty $$ for that rather than just an auction to maximise his 7% fee
Im resigned to losing him, which will make tonite interesting with Latu..a complete game changer for both.
Bula..who WE also made from absolutely nowhere..switched to I Moses recently Hes the next retention challenge
Think all u can do with Moses managed players is to give it yr best shot, and have a contingency plan,as there will always be desperate clubs willing to pay crazy $$ and snare them away from us
So net net...Im like Politis in that Id avoid Moses managed players at all costs.....unless were desperate or the players are elite
But if we finish mid table, this year, and on the rise, were not so desperate..can attract good players without paying a premium, and retain our best

If Galvin goes to Easts I doubt he will be dictating where he is going to play.

Isaac Moses manages Galvin, Bula & Pheonix Godinet, arguably our best backrow prospect under 21.

If its true that we are offering Galvin $5mil over 5 years and he says he still wants to go to market then Richo will go all in on Latu. He won’t let it get to November 1. I want us to keep Galvin but we can’t go down the path we have previously and Richo will know early on his intentions. I think Benji is doing a great job with our young halves so I don’t think Robbo, Ryles can improve him. Just my thoughts. Hopefully we keep both Galvin & Latu
