Good on Richo.

From a strictly footballing perspective, moving away from Campbelltown is a good idea. It's gotta be the worst home ground advantage in the comp.

We have a less than 40% win rate there. Compare it to Leichhardt where our win rate is over 55% (even more impressive considering WT as a club has an overall win rate in the low 40% range).

If we can improve the facilities at Ctown and actually get a home ground advantage, then great. But not good enough as things are.
I just don’t get why tge atmospheres at Combo and L.O. Are so so different.

Definitely needs more seats

Don't disagree,
But Cambo sheets on the Raiders hell hole, Probably even Brookvale - And Penrith before they bombed it (Although I love the Panthers forecourt) It's certainly NRL Standard
- Probably just limits us a little. (Still our best Stadium by a long way)

18000 Seats more than adequately fits 9000 Members I'd have thought?
I think we're trying to get our home Grounds capacity up to match the money we'd get for playing at ANZ and the like. Makes Dollars - Makes Sense...
Getting bigger Digs is one thing, Still got to fill them.... For a long time, We've not been able to.

I love the suburban grounds. Leichhardt of course. Because it has a different feel, everyone has the same passion and the atmosphere is intense/unreal.
So do I. But not everyone is able to tolerate shitty bar lines, poor toilets facilities, long delays in traffic post match etc.

Growing our membership beyond us old rusted on bridage is the challenge.

Sorry, but what BS. In what universe is Cambo not NRL standard? It might not be CommBank or ACCOR but it’s not Lidcombe Oval either. Smells to me like he just wants an excuse to fit in more corporates.
Exactly, and why can't you understand the reason?
It's called revenue raising to build a better catchment area for better home grown players. And bums on seats. Simple I would have thought!
And it worked for the Leichhardt upgrade.

Fingers crossed, admission prices may come down?
I think we have the most expensive admission prices of all clubs, for poor facilities.

There is 100% a haves and have not in terms of NRL stadiums. The clubs playing out of the modern grounds are leaving the clubs in grounds like CSS and LO behind in teens of finances.

Just kick Parra out of the comp for everyones sake

They’re Rotten Cooked

And that includes what I believe are inflated entry prices. Maybe I’m living in the past but why make the effort( and believe me for many years I never missed a home game) when today you can watch on telly and see everything.
Go and make yourself a great Sanger or two at half time, washed down with cold beer or a coffee and pee in your own toilet without crap all over the floor and a Q down the street.
And be when it’s over you don’t have a lengthy trip home.
Yep, I can be loyal and comfortable as well. I’m not sure that we are going to need a massive stadium as I can only see crowds declining in years to come.

I'm lucky - I get to some home games and the "experience" live is a winner - nothing like it.
But there again, I have Foxtel and really love the TV coverage too - except maybe some of the commentators. 😉

But further to you, champion @Halbrowne61, I feel that the NRL, like all sports in the media, are quickly going down the "corporates" route, generating that "higher" income over the plebs.

Clearly we are off the pace financially. Richo makes no secret of that. They have to slug the fans a little more because we have less members and less corporates.

Our sponsors would be paying less.

Richo is just telling us a few home truths.

Bullshitting for years gets you to the bottom of the pile.

Richo wont bale on us to prop up the UK League .The guy has looked pastie - paled since he arrived .Whether its a rouge from the makeup dep at podcast HQ or a rogue that Richo would / could / and he will gamble the future on moving this club away from Cambo - which he has based a lot of his rhetoric on, Campbelltown being the epicenter. 4 the greater long term good
