Not good for us but they usually workedIt is hard to believe these things were ever legal, still i suppose cigarette advertising was legal at the same time. Not all things in the past were good for us.
I’m with you on this one HAL,And that includes what I believe are inflated entry prices. Maybe I’m living in the past but why make the effort( and believe me for many years I never missed a home game) when today you can watch on telly and see everything.
Go and make yourself a great Sanger or two at half time, washed down with cold beer or a coffee and pee in your own toilet without crap all over the floor and a Q down the street.
And be when it’s over you don’t have a lengthy trip home.
Yep, I can be loyal and comfortable as well. I’m not sure that we are going to need a massive stadium as I can only see crowds declining in years to come.
I must have been standing near you O coz been to games at all those grounds.I’m with you on this one HAL,
The only ground I go to these days is Shark Park as it’s close and I take the grandkids who love running around on the hill (behind goalposts) before first grade starts.
All other games I watch from the luxury of my lounge room or catching up with old mates at a pub or club.
Just a memory thinking back standing on the hill at the following grounds when I was a young whipper snapper ,
Leichhardt
Lidcombe
Belmore
Pratten
Parramatta
Kogarah
Penrith
Henson
Brookvale
No complaining back then about facilities 🤣
You missed a few obvious ones,North Sydney Oval,Sydney Sports Ground Redfern Oval and naturally depending on your age the SCGI’m with you on this one HAL,

I remember the days when the ladies had to line outside the toilets at Cumberland Oval. Lines were 20 to 30 women long. Not my fault they did not have a spout, but I did feel sorry for my future wife.I’m with you on this one HAL,
