From my personal experience I wouldn’t make the effort to drag myself all the way to Cambo again to suffer 3rd rate facilities
I suppose our lack of wins, and the euphoria from that at the ground, doesn’t help… but, in the end, It’s a very poor ground.

What 3rd rate facilities are you talking about? Are you expecting a string quartet in the toilets or reclining seats in the grandstand?

The only people who really notice any difference in facilities across different grounds are the corporate class and their comfort. The rest of us sit in the same seats, line up in the same queues and drink the same beer at whatever ground we go to.

Last time I was there the toilets were oveflowing, they ran out of food and getting a drink was near impossible.
This was general admission with my son.
I used to go by with friends in corporate boxes but Cambo was rubbish.
To be honest Leichhardt wasn’t far behind in corporate facilities.

They've never run out of food or drink while I've been there, and that has nothing to do with the quality of the facilities anyway. But I guess one of the toilets was blocked once so it must be a terrible place to watch the footy.

lets for a minute forget where we came from and look ahead,. Please do not respond if you are over 25
I've had a few grenache, merlot, and I reckon I'm over .25, so I have decided not to drink and type anymore. 🍷🍷🍷 But I did have a Berroca in between, in moderation of course!

Sorry, but what BS. In what universe is Cambo not NRL standard? It might not be CommBank or ACCOR but it’s not Lidcombe Oval either. Smells to me like he just wants an excuse to fit in more corporates.
it is pretty average mate, i've only been there 2-3 times and its not the greatest place to watch footy at...

Because he wants the right outcome and hasn’t negotiated a deal yet.

He is playing it smart tbh and think it’s great he is being this upfront.
some people dont realise that what he is doing is part of the negotiation process...
this is all part of getting what he thinks is best for the club...
if he comes out and says "its a great stadium we will play there for life", there's no incentive to refurbish it.

Fingers crossed, admission prices may come down?
I think we have the most expensive admission prices of all clubs, for poor facilities.

Admission prices reflect the costs of putting on the game at Suburban Grounds.
It's that simple.

We can have cheap ticket prices, But we'll be playing out of ANZ.
But everyone whinges about that as well.

It's a pity the redevelopment was squashed bringing the crowd closer to the action could have made the place more desirable for club games.

Interesting that Richo's podcast comes 1-2 days after the Libs commit 'only' $3.7M for an upgrade if they get in.

https://nswliberal.org.au/news/liberals-commit-$3-7-million-for-campbelltown-stadium

Macarthur MP and candidate Dr Mike Freelander has yet to commit to any funding so maybe the timing of Richo's statement puts the ball in Freelander's court now.

no votes in campbletown for the politicians unfortunately

Campbelltown is Labor heartland, both state and federally speaking. this realistically means nothing.

Pollys complain when the stadium is under used but they do not help themselves or the residence that make up this great area with narrow sighted cost cutting.
