I don't know May to really comment, nor Suli for that matter beyond reading articles about him.
I don't think Suli was a talented nightmare as such as needed more support than he was given. Sure as an athlete there is an expectation, as well as a contractual obligation, for him to maintain fitness and attendance standards. He was still the same bloke at Manly however they were able to look after him a little better and help him revive his career. There is no reason he could not have done that here with the same support he received at Manly.
My understanding of the situations is they are very different.
Suli's off field family distractions were through no fault of his own as a person. He didn't maintain standards but he also didn't know how, even if to most It is a simple concept. Suli seems the type of person I would happily put extra resources into and was thought to be a talent that would justify doing so.
May's off field issues are (almost) entirely brought upon himself through alleged actions that portray his negatively as a human being. I don't believe he is worth the drama, at least at this stage. I wouldn't say never but it appears as though he needs to do a lot of work on himself before he should be considered.
