With Skelton, Tito, Luke L and possibly Naden all in front of him, I believe Staines would be better off taking an offer to play elsewhere.

Yeah Naden is the obvious choice. He went fine in Cup.How did Naden go this week in NSW Cup? Might have to put him in the NRL team next week for Skelton
I really like Naden when his head is screwed on. He is an imposing back and I reckon we will see a different guy out on the field for the remainder of this season....Yeah Naden is the obvious choice. I'm sorry but if our rehab team say Skelton is ready to return and he can't get through his return game, I'm asking serious questions. I know nothing about hamstring injuries so iv no idea how common it is that a player returns after an injury only to injure it in his return game. If it's not common, then I'm sorry it's nowhere good enough.

He will miss somewhere between 4-6 weeks but if it’s at the higher range 6-8 weeksI'm sorry but if our rehab team say Skelton is ready to return and he can't get through his return game, I'm asking serious questions. It's common enough, ask Tommy Turbo and Luke Brooks.I'm sorry but if our rehab team say Skelton is ready to return and he can't get through his return game, I'm asking serious questions. So is it something that the physios and docs could say he's good to go and he reinjures it first game back, that's not an unusual occurrence. It does happen from time to time?Hamstrings are terrible injuries and you can believe you are good to go and you don't feel any problems until you try to get that extra 1% out of your body.I played in the backs and was very fast and it was a hammie that made me quit in the end.You can sprint at training but you don't put on the same pressure as you do in a game (evasion etc).I wish him well it is a total shit of a problem to have.

Got you, I was thinking when Skelton came off, what are our rehab team doing, how can they clear him only for him to reinjure it straight away, but if it's just one of those things that can happen cause of the nature of the injury there's not much anyone can do. Hey jad, any idea how they go about a long term fix, for a hamstring is it rest and recovery. Or more strength and stretching to get it used to being tortured? Reckon if he pulls up again after returning its worth sending to the U.S to see that specialist they sent turbo to. Skeltons a weapon we need him.It is something you can never be 100% saying is fine. Most of the time it is but it is the extra effort that you try to take out of it that causes the damage.Watch the olympics and see some hamstrings blow out under stress during sprints(It is really heartbreaking).
I remember this week at some stage someone on the telly saying that there have been a heap of hamstring injuries this year. Wonder if all these leg injuries ave anything to do with the ground prep or any new training techniques the clubs are adopting. 🤷♂️Just going to add Tino Tavana & Solo Sakuru who both looked to incur serious lower leg injuries in Flegg today. Very disheartening for both as they were really progressing IMO especially Tino. Hopefully we do hear something from the club on both and fingers crossed severity is at the lower end.
He looked very good prior to coming up lame, didn't look like he was hampered at all and was getting through plenty of work. I think this is just bad luck and the rehab team will be forced to take an even more cautious approach with him this time around.I'm sorry but if our rehab team say Skelton is ready to return and he can't get through his return game, I'm asking serious questions. Probably best to keep quiet then.I'm sorry but if our rehab team say Skelton is ready to return and he can't get through his return game, I'm asking serious questions.
