He has gone along with it though which is just as bad. Or if not - and wants maintain some level of integrity he needs to sack his manager. It makes sense and I’d say that is pretty accurate.

I think he will be a gun . But not at 6 . I think like Brad Clyde before him , and Jason Taumalolo in a completely different way , he will reinvent the 13 jersey .I think posters who are saying Galvin isn’t worth the money and he’s overrated are trying to mask there emotions.
There’s nothing wrong with admitting that this kid is a superstar and is going to be sorely missed from a football perspective.
He’s probably the best rookie I’ve seen personally adapt to the NRL as quickly as he has. It’s going to be a massive loss.
I think that’s why I’m so shocked that the reason he wants to leave is because he doesn’t think he’ll be able to develop or progress at the club.
Yet he’s one of the best halves in the game and he seems like he’s developing perfectly under our system.
The kid, his manager and family are all frauds.
Throwing a club legend and your coach under the bus, when he was the one who wanted you to succeed the most and made sure he did everything in his power to make that happen gives you an insight into his character.
Good luck to him at Leichhardt oval next week.
Think he's gonna be Ryan Matterson 2.0I will laugh my arse off if he gets too big loses speed and ends up in the 2nd row
Personally think that snake Gould has his dirty fingers all over thisGus on 100% Footy seems to believe that Galvin isn’t behind the Benji comments and is a tactic from his management.
Personally, just sounds like Gus trying to protect a players reputation he intends to sign.
The Galvin brand name has taken a real belting today and he is being portrayed as a real young brat. I guess he can go under ground for a few weeks and say nothing and hope it all goes away. Or he can get the spin doctors, to try and invent a new story line. Iam sure the mental health card will be one of the first cards thrown on the table. It’ll be interesting to see what Moses has instructed him to do. Hopefully he takes the high road.
Doubt Moses understands what that meansIt’ll be interesting to see what Moses has instructed him to do. Hopefully he takes the high road.
I don’t want that though ! IDGAF what he says . People tell you who they are ! We just don’t want to listen for whatever reason . He’s told us who he is . So we should tell him where he will be …. Playing for the Hawks on Sunday afternoonLet’s see what comes from Galvin over the next few days.
If he’s smart enough he could really water down the situation by publicly backing Benji and stating he has not closed the door on potentially remaining a Wests Tigers player long term, he just wants to test his market value.
In saying this it appears he wants out at all costs and will agitate for an early release. If that’s the case why not see if we can get a highly valuable player swap for him for this season ?
LG and Turuva have had 4-5 together. Romney and Turuva had a lot bigger partnership at Penrith. Turuva is an amazing finisher. whoever plays in the halves will have an easier job having a finisher of his class out on the flankWingers and centres score the majority of tries in the NRL, the five eighths job is to enable them to cross the stripe.
LG is setting up plenty of good ball to Taruva.
Sounds like Romey & Benji are incredibly tight.I think he will be a gun . But not at 6 . I think like Brad Clyde before him , and Jason Taumalolo in a completely different way , he will reinvent the 13 jersey .
I’m 💯 sure that the club knows Latu is the 6 moving forward , and i think they always have felt that eventually that would be the case . I think all this is really that , Galvins team knows this as well . And I think if the luai stuff has any legs , it would be around the fact that The family would be worried eventually Luai would convince Benji to roll with Latu .
I mean that’s a lot of subjectivity there and speculation , but if I think about it like a manager who’s trying to maximise his asset , being in an environment that there’s a feeling that your client might change to a position that doesn’t have the same brand exposure , would be his main worry .
Like everyone knows Yeo is as important as Cleary to that team . Doesn’t get the Rexona ads though .
I think the Dogs have high hopes for Mitch Woods as well.Sounds like Romey & Benji are incredibly tight.
Surely they've discussed halves pairing in the past, for the future.
Romey won't be upset, working with Latu, from what we've heard.
Bulldogs, still doesn't make sense.
They move Burton?
Or play Galvin at 7?
That's not quite the dynamic halves pairing.
Both more so, running players, not organisational halves.
Move Burton to centre?
Idk...
Seems all very odd.
He's also hogging the ball a lot of the time too, are you saying speed wouldn't improve his game.Wingers and centres score the majority of tries in the NRL, the five eighths job is to enable them to cross the stripe.
LG is setting up plenty of good ball to Taruva.
Gus said Galvin isn’t in their plans . He hasn’t planned for it , and he would advise the family to stay at least for another 2-3 years . Even if he doesn’t rate the coach .Sounds like Romey & Benji are incredibly tight.

Indeed.I think the Dogs have high hopes for Mitch Woods as well.
Mitch Woods Is meant to be the next big think. If Galvin goes to the dogs he’ll probably white ant Mitch WoodsI think the Dogs have high hopes for Mitch Woods as well.
Moses thought WT would just bend over again like we did during the Pascoe years.Interesting reading the thoughts of the forum. I wonder if Galvin's Manager was caught short by us withdrawing the offer as soon as he advised that Galvin would test the market. I expect that the ploy was to use us to drive the market. Telling him that he was free to probably came as a shock as their bargaining power had just been taken away.
Who has leaked the Benji can't coach side of the story? Moses agitating for a release or Richo sabotaging the reputation of Moses and Galvin.
Either way Latu has just earned himself a FG spot along side Romey and Galvin a spot on the pine.
For me, this week, AD to half, Ndden to Centre, Luke L to the wing and Galvin riding the pine.
He’s a gun apparently . Was rated higher than Galvin as a junior . Just Galvin had that special tournament , and led wests fields to the title . Won the Harold Matt’s comp , sure , he played backrow .I think the Dogs have high hopes for Mitch Woods as well.
It’s funny you know . It’s pretty much the same story for M Moses that Galvin had . Went to the tigers after the eels said he was too small and not good enough . Tigers develop him , makes his debut , then it’s a return to the eels .Indeed.
The 4 clubs mentioned on 360 tonight....
I just don't understand.
Parramatta? Wow...
Bad to worse.
Albeit, I think we are on the improve.
The Moses x Galvin halves pairing is probably the best available (other than what we've allowed him.)
But... after how they managed his junior career, reportedly, how desperate. Forgive and forget? The Tigers have done more for his career than anyone and he'll happily slam the door in our face to return to them? Laughable really.
Yeah, I'll say it again, I'm confused by it all and how he thinks he'll have a better career elsewhere. After we've literally done everything we can to accommodate him.Gus said Galvin isn’t in their plans . He hasn’t planned for it , and he would advise the family to stay at least for another 2-3 years . Even if he doesn’t rate the coach .
But also said he’s too good of a player soo he’d have to look at it now . I dunno what’s true with that . They have woods , Conti , Burton . Woods is apparently way better than Galvin , just doesn’t have the physical developments yet . That’s clearly a betting hedge . And my guess is he will make a play . But I think he’s trying to convince them to take less money . I’m almost certain now it’s Manly , with Brooks being offered around clubs . How his parents would allow their son to be used as a pawn in Moses’ McDonald’s franchise is beyond me . Eels fans … what can you say .
Well done, Ted.Originally if you told me Galvin was leaving I’d be distraught, I still am slightly if I’m being perfectly honest but not at the level I thought I would be.
I think Lachlan has showed his true colours and ever since he requested a release last year I’ve been really vocal that I think he’s gone. But it’s not the fact he’s gone, it’s more so how it has been handled which has been incredibly disrespectful to all of the fans, players, coaches and club itself.
Benji gave this kid his debut fresh out of high school after all the noise and expectation was our boom signing Latu that he was going to get the nod.
Benji saw something in him others didn’t, not one of the other 16 clubs would’ve given him his debut last year, then after 2-3 games of losing he publicly comes out demanding a release…..After conversations with Galvin, he retracts the release and confirms he’ll be staying at the club.
Benji then gives him the keys, partners him up with NSW and international representative in Jarome Luai coming off winning 4 straight rings as the right hand man to Cleary. He also brings in arguably a top 3 prop in the NRL with Terrell May along with the platform we already have.
To add to this, Benji vocally promotes Lachlan to play his natural game and take the line on giving him the freedom to play eyes up football, whilst other coaches would limit and try restrict that and all of a sudden we’re winning games and currently holding a top 8 position with his football flourishing getting all the praise. But that’s not good enough for him apparently.
If you told any young 6 who likes to take the game on and play off the cuff, that they’ll be getting mentored by Benji they’d be over the moon, but to 19 year old Galvin it’s not good enough.
He’s laying the platform to give this kid the key to castle and he disrespects him and claims the reason he’s leaving is purely because of…. Benji?
The team identity is strong, I’m at the mindset of getting this entitled kid the boot and let him root in reserve grade until 2027. Give Latu the 6 jersey and see what we can do, he can have a front row seat to what we’re building.
In Richo and Benji we trust.
