Bloke in a bar podcast one of the guys made a perfect point, it's not that Galvin wouldnt be playing in first grade yet at any other team that makes his decision strange, though its true, he wouldnt be. It's that wherever he goes, what other coach will just allow him to play his game. None only Benji.I'm not 100% sold on this being truth.
Galvin has mentioned multiple times he loves Benji and he is allowed him to play what he sees.
It's a nice narrative that suits the Galvin's camp reluctance & arrogance.
However, IF.... it is true.
It's disgraceful.
Benji, Richo, we, as a club and a fan base, couldn't have done more for this kid.
He's spitting in all our faces.
I don’t understand why we would release him. Not on big coin, we have spaces in the roster. At worst we trade for a player we need.James Hooper was on nrl tonight with Blocker and said it was Galvin and his manager who told Richo last Thursday that the reason is Galvin feel Benji can’t take him further , money is not the reason he is going it’s the coach , and it’s also been reported they have issues with Benji and his team of asssitants all being mates / ex players , , ts was then spoken again by nrl 360 Buzz was coy on it !Read was reluctant to speak about it like the way Hooper come out , I feel if true and Hooper doubled down on it , it was also mentioned that Richo told the board and the board said contact Galvins dad for a chat Friday , he never answered his phone or replied to message , I Reckon Galvin has got a deal now if he wants it before June 30 , so dogging the coach would be th fastest way to a release , watch this space he will be gone before June 30 if Hooper info is correct , he also should b dumped completely from first grade
If need be, I'd even pay him to stay at home. Just to make a point that we can't get pushed around.Surely we would only release Galvin in return for a high calibre player in a position of need. At 300k per season, Galvin offers excellent value as a backup half, backrower or centre. He can prove his worth to suitors over the next season and a half.
It was on nrl at 6.00pm and also on 360 at 6.30 tonightI'm not 100% sold on this being truth.

On nrl 6.00 pm and on 6.30 pm 360Where is this reported ?
everywhere knowWhere is this reported ?
Forget Bud he wants to stay with Souths leave him there. We absolutely don't need to go to market for a half.
Luai is the general.
All in on Latu now - backups in AD and possibly Bud, even Mason.
But all in on Latu.
Why would you want this kid anywhere near your team after this.Surely we would only release Galvin in return for a high calibre player in a position of need. At 300k per season, Galvin offers excellent value as a backup half, backrower or centre. He can prove his worth to suitors over the next season and a half.
That’s why it’s such a poor excuse…Bloke in a bar podcast one of the guys made a perfect point, it's not that Galvin wouldnt be playing in first grade yet at any other team that makes his decision strange, though its true, he wouldnt be. Irrespective of the outcome with Taylans contract, hope he can make something of himself and glad he's giving it a shot. Like to see any young person with issues especially if they are a parent, turn it aroundproud of the club today
i have always been on team fainu anyway
a taylan update, club has asked him to go through a rehab course before sitting down to discuss a contract, he is currently receiving treatment
Listening Read's voice on 360 (with Moses' hand up his clackers doing the actual talking) I think its clear what happened and Richo did a great job. This is the big advantage of having an experienced operator such as Richo as our CEO, the player managers try and play us and have been very successful in doing so in the past, but Richo is on the front foot to ensure the whole rugby league world knows how it’s being played out from a Wests Tigers point of view.
One thing I will say is we should all really take a deep breath, put two and two together and realise there is probably more to the story from Lachie Galvin’s point of view.
This is the stuff Richo’s predecessor routinely cocked up.Listening Read's voice on 360 (with Moses' hand up his clackers doing the actual talking) I think its clear what happened and Richo did a great job.
They wanted to string the club along to up his value in the lead up to Nov.
Richo forced an answer early, very good offer, but you have to sign. This isn't the position the Galvin camp wanted to be in, and the damage control is hilarious with all the journalists scrambling to defend Moses and his client. They wanted to say no in Nov or even next year if the price was still going up, but I guess Richo rightly identified we need to plan for us. Not Galvin, his Dad, his manager or his pet budgie.
How can we ensure there will be no issues with any of our other Cove Agency clients such as Bula after the way this is panning out ?Silver lining in all of this, we’ve got a much better chance of not only retaining Latu long term but also Samuela and Sione.
The priority should now be retaining TDS and making sure there are no issues with keeping Bula.
