OFFICIAL Lachlan Galvin #277 *Released* Career Discussion.

I’m sorry, but what does a 19 year old know about what kind of coaching he needs. This is not why he’s leaving - as people have said, he’s leaving because he’s not clicking with team Luai. He’s alienated himself now and he wants out.
Seems that way. Ball is in Lachie’s court now how he comes out of this saga.

1 He can either think F yas all and ask his manager to get him out of their quick smart.

Or he can prove himself …

2 Earn back some respect from his teammates by continuing to training hard, apologise to coach Benji & captains Api & Romey for how this has turned out and play hard in Cup.

Give Parra Galvin early
They give Knights Brown early
We take Bradman Best early
How does that punish the eels ? They get to give away their underperforming half , for our half , and the knights get screwed over in the process .
I’m sure it will revolve around Brown leaving , but if we don’t get something out of the club that’s getting him , then I say no deal . Like I said I’d take Penisini/ Lomax , and a KPP/ Lucas . Probably KPP because she’s off contract .
Nothing less .

Api Koroisau and Jarome Luai have requested to front the media when the Tigers are due to undertake their press commitments on Thursday. They haven’t appreciated some of the commentary around Benji Marshall that they believe is being driven by Galvin and his management (SMH)
This is admirable if correct but focus on the game Api & Romey. Don’t get distracted from the job at hand.

Who's done worse by us, Galvin or Mitch Moses? Can't believe I'm saying it but Galvin might take the crown
I’d say Galvin. There were actual issues between Moses and Cleary and Cleary did pull his offer.

Galvin completely disrespected the club by not even looking at their offer and told a legend of the game that he can’t coach, despite being a 19 year old kid. The teammates reaction says it all really.

With these social media posts by players, can just see Galvin camp using it as “bullying” ammo to get out of the joint.

They need to stop that public stuff.
Yeah Turuva’s was juvenile unless Galvin was in his private group & in on the joke. I’m sure Benji will address this anyway privately with the boys tomorrow.

Re. Bullying or mental health card, ok everyone has to be mindful these days but what about Benji’s mental health. Did whoever (and we know who) leaked the ‘coaching is the issue’ reason consider Benji’s mental health? I’m sure Benji has a thick skin but it’s a bit hypocritical IF his management pull out that card.

OK. There's an elephant in this room that needs to be let out.
This is going to sound like sour grapes, and maybe a little of it is . . . but here goes:
Right here, right now, he just ain't as good as he thinks he is.
He ain't nowhere near as good as the media beat him up to be.
He might be in the future, but I once thought I might grow to 6ft tall when I was a kid. Don't even ask how that turned out for me 🤣
He might turn into a good player, but he ain't showing shit in terms of a superstar. Fittler, SBW et al ALL were playing consistent high level at his age and NRL experience.
They weren't slow. Or average defenders. Rarely made the wrong attacking decision. They weren't ball hogs. They didn't piss about wasting tackles by running across the field, or even worse, in circles.
He makes a lot of poor decisions during the game. Sure, he's a kid and he has talent . . . . but that's it.
he won't be in the halves for much longer, so he should really hope he bulks up . . . coz he'll get folded as a ball running lock.
If he does 9 good things during a game, he also does 6 or 7 crap things.
I'm sure Benji has been walking on egg shells so this kid doesn't get offended by having to play second fiddle to JL. You know, the bloke who's just come off 4 comps. I still think that Benji has told JL to hold back, and push it towards LG more.
We all said that Gal overplays his hand. Maybe we were too polite to also say he's a poor defender.
And that he's slow. And that he makes very poor decisions. And he crabs across field. And he's a hog. We might not have readily said that stuff because we were swept up in the gushing and glowing media appraisals of Galvin . . . and we got lulled into thinking we are getting the world's best player.
Well, now that he has shown us exactly what he thinks of our club and it's head coach . . . we don't need to protect his fragile ego any longer.
I see the reality of so many of his flaws . . . sure, they might disappear in 2, 4, 7 years . . . but right here, right now, all I hear is an elephant escaping this room.
Yes good post.
To me it’s been obvious for a year now but really encouraged to see so many see it as well.
Lachy is struggling and this will put his development back a couple of years. Given his outspoken nature critiquing others lately, I doubt his new coach and team mates will trust him easily either.
