Geez you must watch a.lot of fta.Yes her, the chick who is on breakfast tv 5 days a week, who is on live footy broadcasts 3 days a week and hosts a podcast with Joey and Freddy.
It doesn’t really matter if you don’t care, it was part of a discussion I was having with other members on here.
It’s not done with until the perception that the kid isn’t copping a fair go is squashed. That way he can’t pull the mental health or toxic workplace cards to leave early with us getting nothing out of it in return.
I see what your saying. That makes sense. Imo, Galvin jumps around at training and on game day and is all smiles. For all the panning I give Isaac Moses he's filth but iv got no doubt he's filth just doing what he's told. Imo what's driving Galvin to not even look at the 6 million dollar contract is his father. The bloke who played rugby league with the dream to play for Parramatta but never made it cause he just wasn't good enough. Proof for me is if he does end up signing for Parra. I really feel sorry for him, I give Galvin a hard time but I honestly think in 10 years he will either have a massive bust up with his folks, or he will have anger and regret. At some point he may realise he is playing the game and hates it. I reckon in time he will realise what was really happening is his father is trying t achieve and relive his youth through his son, for Lachlan's sake hopefully not at the expense of his happiness. That's why I believe none of this makes sense, I think the father is pulling all the strings of Lachlan and Moses, just to get his son to Parramatta. That's why Moses won't even look at the 6 million dollar deal, that's why Benji can't coach, that's why it's not the club for him. It's because his father always dreamed of playing for Parramatta. Only reason for him to go to Parra is because he grew up supporting them. To develop his game, win comps and reach his ceiling as a player they would be the last place you would go to atm, in maybe 2 - 3 years they might start charging back up the ladder, but not next year. That's my thoughts on it after mulling it over, looks like a Jelena Dokic helicopter father taking charge of his sons career. At first we had the sympathy of most as an arrogant 19 year old was talking shit about his coach and leaving the club who gave him his start. His press statement didn’t help as it seemed again that he only cared about himself…however the social media pile ons started to change the narrative somewhat.
Some suggested he was being bullied. Others that he didn’t fit in with the ‘bra’ culture of the islanders. Others still started really thinking about it and have suggested that a 19 year old with 30 NRL games under the belt does not knock back a $6 million offer…actually doesn’t even read it, unless there are massive issues still at the club.
We sit in a bubble here but look outside of it and you’ll see plenty of influential people turning on the club.
The kid has been here 3 years and whatever he has seen, he wants no part of it. He has tried to leave several times. He was biding his time until Nov but for some reason Richo backed him into a corner so he had to come clean. The kid can’t wait to leave. Unless he has something saying he can get well over a mill a year at another club, then that is pretty damning. He has stated he wants to be an elite player, SOO, Tests and Premierships…and he doesn’t want to try and do it through this joint even though he has received preferential treatment for a year and a half now with some big name talent added to the roster to help him.
He’d rather go to Parra who is behind us on their rebuild?
If many believe there’s something more to it than money than that narrative paints the club, not Galvin in a bad light.
Perceptions don’t mean anything. He is on our books for the next 2 seasons until we release him. As I’ve said numerous times on here, tigers just need to be seen to be supporting Galvin. He is 19 and needs development. You have been quite vocal this season regarding his actual ability vs his potential. Which I have agreed with.Yes her, the chick who is on breakfast tv 5 days a week, who is on live footy broadcasts 3 days a week and hosts a podcast with Joey and Freddy.

They can STFU for starters and stop giving the agitators more ammo. These things always get messy at this club. Press releases, and online shitstirring and media leaking about the talk he did to the group and now twin press conferences. It’s enough already.Geez you must watch a.lot of fta.
So what if they think the WTs are arseholes...doesnt mean everyone listening agrees with them.
Im happy with the way Benji and Luai dealt with any percieved MH or fair go issue with LG.
That is your perception...maybe some.others...people make up their minds and stick to it .
Hes been dropped. Like many others before him and many to follow...its part of the game, Marshall and Luai explained it very clearly
What more do you think the club should do,?
Not necessarily.Perceptions don’t mean anything. He is on our books for the next 2 seasons until we release him.
This is my point also.As I’ve said numerous times on here, tigers just need to be seen to be supporting Galvin. He is 19 and needs development.
I don’t think our attack is very good with him at 6. That’s not to say I don’t want him on our squad. He is a natural player who needs to find his position. You have been quite vocal this season regarding his actual ability vs his potential. Which I have agreed with.
It already has been. Him bagging the coach and team mates publicly going at him is getting out of hand for a contract negotiation. The hard part is managing the rest of the squad, many of which are obviously hurting and emotional. Could easily get out of hand.
Yes and we need him in the team somewhere to achieve this.String a few wins together and it will quieten down. If we start racking up the losses, the pressure was going to be on benji regardless of Galvin’s contract situation.
Agree with that...its what ive been saying in one of the other threads...round 7 has started ..easter long weekend round,They can STFU for starters and stop giving the agitators more ammo. These things always get messy at this club. Press releases, and online shitstirring and media leaking about the talk he did to the group and now twin press conferences. It’s enough already.
API and Luai did well. Stuck to the script and said nothing further despite the questions. Hopefully that’s the end of it from the clubs side for now.
I don't quite get it, Bulldogs were a shambles a few years before we got really bad, and arguably they are now a few years ahead of us in a similar rebuild.Graham is a hypocrite, hes ripped into players when he played NRL that could be classified as bullying.
Mason made some decent points about the club and it's recent history, I don't like hearing it, but it's true. It's been a basket case. But he's also another bulldog meathead.
Cheers for reply.Not necessarily.
Public perception can influence the RLPA and our board.
This is my point also.
It is the perception that matters currently. If he keeps getting bashed publicly, we lose.

I have suggested at center.
Benji is a realist and i like it

What do you think is the real reason tuck? I am sleuthing here only. All I can figure is history of mediocrity, Fainu preferred, ‘bra’ culture. Who are the high profile third parties looking in who have said something of credit? I would love to sit next to Adel Hage and understand why we suck in those peoples eyes, even though we are playing much better (could all fall apart and then the sky falls in) but it doesn’t feel like that.So far, and to our knowledge, Moses has done nothing underhanded.
Yes we all suspect he has but until that’s proven, he is representing a client who wants to get out of the club that his contract is coming to an end at.
I think he is a weasel POS, but I also know Galvin has wanted out for a long time now. The kid has been at this club for the past 3 years - the worst in our history and he doesn’t want to be here. That’s not the manager influence. Not fully.
Trying to help his dom, Gussy, out to get an early crack at Galvin. At least he took his gimp mask off. Did he manage to squeeze a Sonny Bill reference in?Just saw the weidler presentation of the press conference on Ch9 news. Have to say that it was edited to suit the Galvin storyline and wasn’t at all a fair representation of what was said or the messages that Benji, Api or Luai were voicing.
Weidler is an absolute lowlife.
Exactly. This is about putting WTs in complete control of the situation. We all know ballsaaac Moses will hide from all of this at the detriment of WTs and Galvin all the while continuing to pull any story he can to get what he wants to secure Galvin a deal. I liked how Benji gave nothing in regards to anything related to an early release from his contract. The vibe I got from the conference is that Galvin is here until the end of 2026 end of story and I hope Moses is secretly shitting himself at the thought he just delayed his clients NRL progress by 18 months by trying to shaft WTs who were once easy push overs.Yes.
This wasn’t about answering all questions with “raw honesty”.
It was about killing the narrative that the kid is going to be discriminated against, bullied, ostracised etc. the avenue for a forced release due to compassionate grounds resulting from mental health issues had to be closed.
I think he lost sight of that a bit towards the end,
If I were Richo and Benji I’d do everything I could to expose any illegal practices or shenanigans that maggot was involved in. I’d also be contacting Uncle Wayno, Uncle Nic, Rusty, and any other scorned, to start blacklisting him. The enemy of your enemy is your friend. The only way to reduce his influence is to reduce his involvement. And obviously as discretely as possible, but that won’t last long.I think if Galvin said he wanted to move on without the infamous dossier produced by Moses, this situation is in a totally different place. All the players realise it’s a professional sport and many of them are here for a variety of reasons.
Reportedly, Moses and Benji dislike one another. I believe once the decision was made to leave the Tigers, the complaints against Benji’s coaching were to achieve two outcomes:
1 - Make it untenable for Galvin to stay as he still has 18 months to go
2 - A simple FU to Benji from Moses
Firstly, don’t believe Galvin instructed Moses to share the information regardless of what he thought of Benji as a coach. These were probably closed door discussions that Galvin had with this team.
Secondly, I believe Moses attended the meeting with Richo to with the intent to get an early release (perhaps Galvin wanted one) and threw petrol on the fire.
