You are right on the culture building side of the house. We need to focus on developing a Wests Tigers that kids want to be part of. While I think Api has built the foundation the biggest change has been driven by Luai. This is also evident in the change of Api in his role on the paddock. With Luai directing play Api is much more animated in an around the ruck with hand signals and his voice and you can see chatter between him and Luai as they approach the ruck.I hope Api stays. This culture we are building is less than a season old. We need him for the next 2-3 years to finish the job and bring the next crop through with the rest of the Penrith crew.
I know Luai's numbers are down on what he produced at the Riff but in a different role he is really making his mark. His influence on the culture at the club can't be underestimated and I think he is more important to keep than Api - although in my perfect world we would find a way to keep them both and TDS.
