OFFICIAL Lachlan Galvin #277 *Released* Career Discussion.

I reckon there is more to this than meets the eye. Galvin had the shits at the start of the Vlog following the Dolphins win. Looked like he spat the dummy when TM tried to video him and TDS in their room. May was hustling up players who were interested in heading out for a Burger, but Galvin was having none of it. I got the impression from that and other Vlogs that Galvin can't do the gangsta banter (but then again, none of them can tbh) I reckon this is a cultural divide that WASP LG finds difficult to manouvre. There are less gangsta types at the slimes. Might be a reason he wanted to move on. Might also be a reason The Roosters were happy for TM's vlog to go walkabout elsewhere, culturally speaking.

I reckon I could handle that crap for $6m

Is Seyfarth in them much?

I cant watch much of it I skip 5 minutes, watch 15 seconds, skip another 5 or 10 mins...watch a little ...i find it not very interesting
Can confirm Seyfarth has been in a few times. Generally Terrell and co. call Twal and Doueihi and the other Lebanese boys the "habibis" and in the last vlog called Seyfarth a Sri Lankan (go to 20:00). He mentioned that Doueihi, Twal, Seyfarth don't hang out with anyone else just each other.

Watching Terrell's vlogs I think the core group is Jarome, Terrell, Fonua, Royce, Turuva, To'a, Skelton, Api and the Fainu boys. Mostly, the guys who went to Grubbies after the Dolphins game. Although Naden featured heavily in the last vid (probably as it's the first vid he isn't injured). In the last vid I saw Tony Sukkar (hanging out with Luai, Mason and some others), Charlie Staines and Alex Lobb for the first time. I think Josh Feledy also passed by as someone made comment of a mullet.

From the normal top 17 (+ Naden and Luke Laulilii). I've seen Turuva, To'a, Skelton, Luai, Api, Pole, SamFainu, Hunt, Bird and Sione very frequently. Doueihi, Twal, Bula, Seyfarth, Laulilii and Naden seen from time to time and generally interacted with. Not too much TDS and Galvin but I think the boys like Tallyn from what I see. Solomona Faataape also on a decent amount.

Yeah i know Naden is close to Heath Mason, they both live down the south-west and car pool to training together. Naden and Staines are also close. All the poly boys are very close, and its evident.

The young guys Galvin, TDS, Kit, Luke, Heath, Matamua, Saukuru, Feledy, Latu and Samuela are all very close. Galvin, TDS and Luke Laulilii in particular. From what ive heard Luke and Galvin are the closest as they were in the same year at Westfields Sports (Tallyn and Latu the year above). It makes sense with all those guys as they're all around the same age, came through the grades together, went to school with each other and played in junior rep teams together. Those boys would have all know each other for 6+ years.

I'd have no hesitation in letting Galvin go early if we get DCE for 2026 and 2027. Imagine DCE mentoring Fainu and Luai to an extent for game management.

DCE is durable as anything. He will play for next two years without a doubt.
I’d rather an immediate swap given DCE’s age.

I think if he was making his own decisions there’s a chance he would stay to play with his mates. However, it seems his father and the leech are the ones pulling the strings. They clearly have other ideas for his future.
I don’t like the way he says “I’ve got a lot of support around me”, you’d rather him say “I’ve made the decision and I know those around me will support it”

Be interesting to know who’s calling shots.

He's not, he is managed by Tartak who has a good relationship with the Tigers. He has Bird, Feledy, Makasini, Taupau-Moors, all 3 Fainus and Laulilii brothers all at the club. Most of those guys have signed or re-signed recently.

TDS is very close with Galvin but I dont think that will impact him leaving. The Api re-signing will play a bigger role. Richo has said that Tallyn loves the club and doesn't want to leave. The only issue is playing time.

Also, when Terrell May scored against the Eels he did the 'salute' celebration which I thought was a gesture towards Benji. Tallyn did the same celebration after he scored at Leichhardt, so he seems to get along with the group very well.
Not to be picky, but I wish they'd use an Australian salute; But that's American movies' and tv influence.

Gotta admit though for Anzac round TDS' American salute irked me. Not the end of the world (and he didn't know any different), but there are plenty of vets who aren't exactly the greatest admirers of the US.

Just saying....

Naval salute is palm down and has been glorified in movies more.
And i was taught it had something to do with dirty hands from working on ships and not wanting to show dirty hands to the queen or some crapolla.

People make dumb decisions based on small increments of money.

Galvin would have earned $1m a season & been in a system that is proving can work.

But, for the extra couple of dollars he will move to another club & into a system is not guaranteed to suit.

You see it happen all the time in a work environment.

I'm not saying Galvin is going to fail elsewhere.

But I am saying he's unlikely to be earning $1.5 million a season (I'd say half a million is worth taking the extra money for at that stage) & is risking putting himself into a situation that doesn't work for maybe a 5-10% overall financial increase on what the Tigers offered.

I may be looking too much into this but the lack of Lachlan bar 2 seconds anywhere in Terrell May latest Vlog is concerning. Maybe he is just going teenager hiding in corner who knows.
He hasnt featured in many of them all year from what I've seen
