The latter is why I think it's a bit pointless during a bye round.I'd suggest any signings will be over the bye period give them time to settle in they are coming this year, although coukd be a good way to increase the crowd this week

Hate those Wascally Wabbits they weally need a shewacking.I’ve never seen it either, it’s for children isn’t it? But it’s gotta be better than watching us get a shellacking.
That’s the word of the week.
Shellacking, hopefully we learnt how to give one for this weekend. Otherwise we gunna look like Elma Fudd.
Haywood should be a while off yet even with a few nice cameos in reserves. TDS is the sort of player who needs to be kept if the club are fair dinkum. I thought he showed some growth in the variety of his attack last Sunday, even if the result was horrible. I think he'll stick around.Tbh im not too fussed if TDS leaves we have Haywood coming through and apparently he is suppose to be the better prospect so if api staying means TDS leaves I wouldn't be too bothered by it plus I don't think TDS fits with the group him and Galvin seem to be very distant from everyone
Fair call if we got a good lock, but,We don't need a prop, we need a lock and a second rower. Once we get those two, Twal and Seyfarth move back to the bench and prop/middle rotation.
Pole, May, Hunt, Sione, Twal, Seyfarth... That's 6 props for 4 positions in the 17.
I agree, but there was once a lot of excitement when we locked down Zac Cini, Tommy Talau and Jock Madden as well.WTs appear to be doing its best to lock down the best of our talent. Godinex, Tapau-Moors and Haywood all signed. I also read a post that Brookes is also signed to the club long term. The Galvin situation is hardly of the club's making as he is around 18 months from the cessation of his contract.

Not having a crack but based on what? He's been playing crap so noone wants him, or have I missed something.Literally the only thing that people think might lead to TDS leaving is that he's friends with Galvin... blokes lose friends all the time and nothing comes of it.
He's said nothing, done nothing to indicate he's moving on. In fact, the only thing he has said is how he loves playing under Api and has no intention of leaving!
People have PTSD from Galvin already. Sure, he might leave, but people are acting like it's guaranteed. Right now it seems a lot more likely he'll stay.
Oh no!I agree, but there was once a lot of excitement when we locked down Zac Cini, Tommy Talau and Jock Madden as well.
When you look at the juniors in our top 20 or so players they are Douhie, Galvin, TDS, Seyfarth and Sukkar. We are either trying to replace them or they are trying to leave.
I remember Madge saying when he first came to the club in 2018 there was a huge catchment and the focus would be on developing juniors. It’s now mid 2025 so there’s not been much of a return in almost 7 years.
I think it may be next week after our game before the bye, sorry didn’t see previous similar postMmm gone far too deep into this week not to bounce back with some good news.
Was really expecting an external announcement by now, surely tomorrow? Just feel a good story is needed right now.
Zac Cini 🤮Oh no!
Champion @Wiz, I'm having flashbacks just at the mention of Zac Cini, Tommy Talau and Jock Madden.
Stop it. 😉
I remember we had Tommy Talau and Jock Madden and one year they were the Australian schoolboys halves pairing. I thought to myself, odds are one of them will have to be a good first grader and can save us from Luke Brooks. Alas, we are the tigers, and both were nowhere near good enough to be even an average first grade half.Oh no!

I’d like to further that by saying neither was / is Brooks.I remember we had Tommy Talau and Jock Madden and one year they were the Australian schoolboys halves pairing. Agree! Brooks was way better than them. He’s still playing first grade, Jock’s off to the super league and Tommy’s in reserve grade I believe.I’d like to further that by saying neither was / is Brooks.
Yea. I was thinking this.Do we want Adam Reynolds for a year or two? With Latu at lock and Luai 6.
Latu can’t keep himself injury free, it’s a massive risk to let Galvin go a year early without someone else apart from Latu.Just throwing it out there…. but have we actually heard any clarity from the club that Latu will 100% be next up when Galvin leaves. I didn’t hear anything even in the slightest on a 90 min podcast with James Graham from Richo.
I feel like this automatic assumption that Latu will be going to 6 might not be as automatic as people think.
The club have aggressively hunted Galvin and planned the future with him in it as a 6 for the next 10-15 years, so for the last 18 months where has the club told Latu they have plans for him to play long term next to Galvin, maybe they want to commit to that plan and hunt a marquee halves partner next to Luai moving forward.
Hypothetically, I’ve been a big advocate for Latu to play 13 and I’ve heard it’s where the club planned to play him as a first receiver to give space to both Galvin/Luai with his ball skills and tackle breaking ability. Plus his experience as a 9 which shows he’s more than capable to defend in the middle. The games changing and players like Latu playing 13 really benefit teams these days with how fast the pace is today.
Let’s just say we approach Luke Metcalf who’s available to talk to clubs November 1st and he wants to move back to Sydney. What if the Isiyah Katoa return to Sydney rumours start to flare up again in the off-season. Could those players be options or would that be avenues you guys would be interested in.
Just food for thought.
Not forgetting Sullivan is still on our books in 2026.Latu can’t keep himself injury free, it’s a massive risk to let Galvin go a year early without someone else apart from Latu.
If Katoa was available I’d be all in for him, I rate him well above Galvin, Latu and any other young half in the NRL.
katoa is a gun, if he was off contract I’d be chasing him no matter what!Latu can’t keep himself injury free, it’s a massive risk to let Galvin go a year early without someone else apart from Latu.
