Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

I don’t know, but something needs to happen.
We can’t just sit on our hands and hope they stay loyal.
There are lots of players happy to be here, so it may just be a case of subjective preference.

He's come up with excuses to get a release from before he even played 1 NRL game.

Something is fishy about this one more than others. The answer probably lies in private conversations between Galvin and his parents.

We do need to get better, but I believe we have taken massive strides forward from the Pascoe and Lee days.

you could just start numerous shelf companies in a tax haven that Australia has no durestiction with Cash is getting harder to hide ,but figures can be rubbery if the all seeing eye chooses to not glance in your direction
There is plenty of ways to get around pretty much any rule, especially when the investigating body is as weak as the NRL integrity unit. But is it worth the effort to do so really worth it when the fruits of that labour is Lachlan Galvin?

In some areas most definitely.
Not batting too well on the retention front.
Recruitment has brought some good players here though.

Pretty clear to me the narrative that Moses tells his young/talented clients. I’ll get you a first grade jersey at WT, you’ll stand out in that side then it’s onto bigger and better. It was probably a fair strategy 3-5-7 years ago but Galvin was amongst much more accomplished people in the group who saw through the arrogance of it.

think Richo said he had an auto mobile 3rd party lined up for LG ,all legit , hope the dogs don't sway them . Its only cheating if your caught , did it really do Melbourne any harm , it sent Parra back a bit , but they where a rabble and wasted that cheating spread out over many a nobody.

KPP & Fifita turn the forward pack around.

Happens every game after half time…

Fingers crossed on KPP assuming he is coming here … I have some reservations … but I’m supporting them having a go with him ..,,, need more though …Fafita is still in the pipe dream category

what do you see in KPP ,T C ,there is something ,but how much
Size, height & athleticism.

We don't have dynamic athletes in the centres or back row.

KPP & Fifita are genuine athletes & a danger every time they get the ball.

Honestly- they are not my top choices. But both are available. Availability is a big thing.

This allows Seyfarth to go back to being a middle & gives the team the chance to use KPP, Fifita or Sam Fainu off the bench.

Actually, gives the club a chance to see if prop is a better role for Sam Fainu.

The big thing I see , is he’s strong in contact . One thing all the top edge forward do , is the push through contact to gain few Yards or constantly have thier arms free , but not just free , but holding the ball in a way to get people to run on the ball .
Like some guys , especially middles will get thier arms free with thier back to the tryline , and whilst it’s always good to make the opposition make more tackles , it doesn’t really get the team on the front foot .
Guys like Olakuatu , Kikau etc the get thier arms free , but they’re free in a way to get someone through a gap , so with their face to the tryline .
It’s really hard to do consistently , bounce off contact get your arm free , not get turned around , and find runners with the ball .
Thats what I see in KPP. Just not consistently at that top level yet z but that could be a variety of reason why .

KPP & Fifita turn the forward pack around.

Both are 'gettable'.
I know there are plenty of people that disagree but I would love to have a beast like Fifita in our second row it's been a long time since we have had a tackle breaking second rower. I have concerns for KPP it depends on dollars but I do hear a lot of experts say he has plenty of potential. What we have isn't near enough to get us in the 8 imo. Although I'd accept getting close.
