3 of the 7 board members are elected by club members. Are you absolutely certain they agree on everything? The guys at Holman Barnes were fighting amongst themselves only last year. What makes you so confident they are all humming to the same tune? They all fight even if they are on the same side. They have internal factions and that has been the issue.

I suspect old mate Dennis Burgess - the Chairman of both entities holds a lot of sway …we know how he operates at HBG

I hadn’t heard there was any conflict between the two groups previously ,… ( are they related entities ?) unlike the Balmain/ Wests shit fights, and even Wests Campbelltown when they were there …
