Bulldog Meany or Storm Meany?Bit of Nick Meany to him
He’s very rated here…
I don’t see it happening for him,
He’s small, not quick has a bit of a carry - but he’s hardly a To’o or Utai…
Define "it"?
If I was setting an over/under on first grade games played for Luke Laulilii I'd have evens at about 180 atm. I think good first grader pushing 100 career tries is probably his floor at this point unless he has misadventure. One game doesn't define him. He's been stomping holes through adult men in NSW cup as an 18 year old. What he will be at 21 will probably blow our minds.
Someone did suggest the other day we sign him for 4 years. You can’t say that there isn’t an inflated opinion of our juniors. Not just now. It’s always been that way. I guess when you are a poor club, you’re forever looking for the next great white hope.Define "it"?

Cameron Murray type forward but these highly talented players are usually contracted to NRL clubs although playing schoolboy rugbyThat would be 15 minutes over a season. The days of having Ray Price type of forwards in rugby union have long since gone.
Luke L has been developing nicely this season, but it should be no rush to re-sign him long term just yet as which rival club would currently have him in their NRL team ?Someone did suggest the other day we sign him for 4 years. I keep looking at his play/speed etc and remember the immediate impact Koroibete and the Fox had at WTs. Viewed in that lense, you have to have more in the arsenal so I hope he works really hard on his game.Luke L has been developing nicely this season, but it should be no rush to re-sign him long term just yet as which rival club would currently have him in their NRL team ?
As myself and quite a few others keep saying, he’s a wholehearted player who always rips in and does his best, but but he doesn’t have any real weapons to his game other than his strong , whole hearted ball running.
He’s one of our local boys done good so we are obligated to keep developing him and find out what his best position is, but it’s not going to be a situation where we are fighting off big money offers from rival clubs at this stage.
Brian To'o says hi. Even Freddy likened Luke to To'o last night. That's his ceiling. Just needs another 12 - 18 months. As myself and quite a few others keep saying, he’s a wholehearted player who always rips in and does his best, but but he doesn’t have any real weapons to his game other than his strong , whole hearted ball running.
Has it ever worked out for a young player when they have had a label placed on them? It’s almost like a kiss of death.Brian To'o says hi. Even Freddy likened Luke to To'o last night. That's his ceiling. Just needs another 12 - 18 months.

him and his brother will get multiple offers from other clubs if he goes to nov 1 , you’re underestimating how much clubs are on the look out for young talent . it’s not abt him being in their NRL team he’s very young they’ll be focused on developing them . dogs , manly , bears , dragons would all have a look at Luke and kit .Luke L has been developing nicely this season, but it should be no rush to re-sign him long term just yet as which rival club would currently have him in their NRL team ?

That's a fair comment. With the upcoming expansion, players will be in demand.him and his brother will get multiple offers from other clubs if he goes to nov 1 , you’re underestimating how much clubs are on the look out for young talent . it’s not abt him being in their NRL team he’s very young they’ll be focused on developing them . dogs , manly , bears , dragons would all have a look at Luke and kit .
Maybe a jump coach to fend off the tactical bombing he’s gunna get.PD
All luke needs is experience which comes in time and he needs to spend time with a sprint coach.
Good Kid level headed and wants to stay what more can you ask of.

Thought Votano was awful.Thought he and the fullback were the best of the backs
Jesus Christ.He’s very rated here…

I'm still bullish on his potential at centre. He didn't get a single opportunity in the opposition 20m. Everytime NSW had the ball on the left it went to Halangahu or Buchanan who took a run.
Halangahu is gun, he will be a star. Buchanan is seriously overrated. He's another Feledy, looked good in junior grades because of his aggressive run style but won't mean anything once he plays against grown men.
Was hoping Luke and Votano switched at some point to give Luke a go at fullback.
Plenty of people rate Luke as a future winger because of his build but literally all of his best games at NSW Cup and junior level have been at fullback. Hes a decent winger, but an elite fullback. Hopefully he can develop into an elite Winger over time.
