I was going to post along similar lines. My question was going to be thinking back 12 months ago, who would you have said were our most promising juniors. Most would have said Galvin, both the Large boys, TDS and Makasini. A year later three have gone, one looks like he's on the way out and only Makasini is staying ..... for the moment. Don't care what anybody says, as a fan this guts me.

Don't worry mate. We have other 15-16 year olds coming through who we can release in 3-4 years time and watch become stars at other clubs.

A - He is not off contract.
B - There is no chance the Raiders will be letting him go.
C - Da Silva is a much better attacking number 9 than Pattie.

Pattie might not be as attacking as TDS but is so much better defensively and also a better kicking game

You are missing the point.
We arent just losing a hooker.
We could be losing a local junior who the club has spent many years developing, is very talented and has a long career ahead of him barring a hideous run of injury.
We said we were going to rebuild the club around these young guns we had coming through and then just started letting them go. Its pathetic and that mindset is the reason we live in the cellar of this competition. You cannot be taken seriously when you keep unearthing talent, get them first grade ready and then let them go to the opposition to have rewarding careers, whilst we start all over again, or pay through the nose for outside hire.

Why do even smart operators such as Richo suddenly become stupid when they join our club ?

Interestingly on MMM on the radio this afternoon, all of the league pundits on talking about this topic said they'd extend Api and let TDS walk. So maybe it's not stupid. Just because you disagree doesn't make it wrong

Benji is just fixated on keeping Api. I get they are close, but this is ridiculous.

nup, Richo completely botched that situation. His risk assessment of that situation was piss poor.
He reacted emotionally and was checkmated extremely easily.

Disagree. He could see how much of a cancer Galvin was and cut out the tumour

Simpkin would have to be the biggest flop I’ve seen. He was the next QLD #9 according to most tigers fans (myself included, I won’t lie) based on a few reserve grade highlights

Wasn’t as good as Liddle at any time - despite the noise here…

And still isn’t - and it’s not close

No
- you sign both of them and see a young kid that the club is the best place for him to be and learn. Keep him hungry and get him playing as good as he can, and on the correct path to a long NRL career.

Like every other club does with their good 20 yr olds!!
