Sacking Benji, we will need to reset and restart again. Next coach starts from a low bar aswell, 3 years in wins are rare gets punted. We've been doing this since Sheens left the first time.

That expense would be easier to explain than the time wasted on here waiting for a signing
But he doesn’t need to be upgraded. He is a train and trial player and eligible to play first grade after round 11.
Which means at least 1 more dev player probably Hope will be upgraded to top 30
You know those payments have to be factored into the teams cap.

Wests Tigers CEO Shane Richardson says choosing Api Koroisau over Tallyn Da Silva was about leadership, loyalty and giving the club the best chance to win now.
Da Silva didn’t want to sit behind Api for 2-3 more years, and the Tigers couldn’t justify spending $1.35M on two hookers.

100% right and to tell us some lower graders will be upgraded , we need a couple of hard heads now

I really find it hard to understand some of the decisions we're making of late regarding our roster, letting guys leave and getting nothing in return. Upgrading guys that shouldn't be anywhwere near a top 30 contract, not going to lie we seem just as rudderless as before.

As much as I’m a fan of TDS and I desperately wanted him to stay, not just for his talent, but to showcase our junior pathways progressing to NRL and also to strengthen our ties with our Liverpool-Campbelltown-MacArthur-Southern Highlands connection.
However if the rumoured contract he has signed with the Eels is correct, somewhere between 500-650k per season on average, I think he’s done well for himself and it’s a higher contract than I would have valued him at this stage of his career, I would have thought around 400k potentially rising to 500k in 2027 would have been more than fair.
That all being said and done losing TDS is not the end of the world for Wests Tigers at the moment, it’s which players are we bringing in for 2026 and beyond which is a major concern.
No, not really. But a lot of contracts do have clauses for bonuses if the player makes a rep team. Can't say if it is the case for Utoikamanu or any other specific individual but the bonuses are factored in to the cap.
