Ive got mail from a pretty reliable source that there are 1-2 VERY GOOD signings lined up for 2026... Obviously they can't be discussed publicly, but if true, I am somewhat glad we can "Do a Gus"... Time will tell!

Hopefully we get another decent signing for next year but the problem might be that others don't want to sign with a losing club especially after losing 2 of your best quality juniors

Somewhat agree with the first paragraph.

I'd be utterly shocked if there is any truth to the second. I'm not even sure if there is 2 "very good" players available to be negotiating with.

Agree, but a couple of more depth signings to assist this year;s second half would have been very, very useful. Our depth sucks big time

correct me if I’m wrong but I think at any stage someone can be signed into NSWcup and placed on a train and trial. I think the deadline apply’s for the NRL squad only inc. supplementary players (dev deals).

I am led to believe they are disgruntled players at other clubs that will become available at the end of the season and couldn't get an early release.. well one of them definitely was..

But yeah it's all gossip in the end until.it happens..trying to hold onto some hope haha

If they obtain a release they will go to the market …just like May did…it doesn’t mean they are automatically signing here

clubs like the bunnies & manly have poached young up and coming talent from the roosters etc in the past couple of days and we’ve seemingly done nothing. dont rly understand this part of the club, there seems to be a lack of identifying talent or maybe kids just don’t want to come here. we really need more scouts

We've actually got one of the better depth charts of juniors aged 16-20yo in most positions.

A few positions of need in pathways we could do with some external recruitment is:

• Halves
• Prop

Marc Tannous, Curtis Lakeman & Jhevon Lele are some progressive halves in our ranks. We also have Cohen Benson managed by Enrichd (Richo's son) so I am sure he'll be given every chance. Lele on the flip is managed by Isaac Moses.

Christian Taupau-Moors is highly rated & we have a few other 18yo & 19yo props who have powerful physical attributes such as Leviticus Tovia & Luani Tuifua. But another couple of powerhouses with good engines & leg speed wouldn't go astray especially for the Balmain squads.

You'd probably have more insight into this that me if you ask around.. I have nfi who.. a guess is that one might be kikau from the doggies but that's speculation and I have nothing to support it

The same way Galvin went on the market.... He was always signing with the doggies... Parra was always a smoke screen.. Galvin actually gave it away when he did his interview with Weidler when asked that question...kid would be a horrible poker player

No idea, but if we can do that to get extra cattle in great. I agree with not just getting anyone in for a top 30 roster spot, noting some of our recent and current deadwood inhabiting the lower ends of the top 30.

Total different circumstances that are unique to that player involved …as was whom I mentioned May

Out of curiosity. Say we were playing just as poorly perceived in attack but we actually got over the line against the Warriors and Rabbitohs at home. Would put us on 18 points and within a ‘hope’ of challenging for the finals but we had still suffered the last 4 defeats.
Would you and anyone else for that matter feel better about our season?

Our biggest problem I believe is the support and resources Benji has in his stable. Employing his mates as assistants is simply not good enough. We need experienced assistant coaches.

Benji can clearly get the boys motivated, is charasmatic and has some pull in the player market.

This is the one area of the Galvin saga that I could see from Galvin's point. The coaching staff is sub par, and as a young up and coming player, you want to be coached by the best with good resources.

Get some staff in there that are going to challenge him when needed and provide some decent winning experience to the group
