OFFICIAL Jarome Luai - #295

Luai hasn't delivered 1.2 million a season performances all year... I don't care about the "influence" he has on the club, they are no where near a top 8 side. Lack in the forwards and centre department also. Majority of our bench wouldn't make the starting 17 in any team. Luai is earning 100% of his wage but his player value has been 50% of that. I hope he leaves, 1.2 million can get you two great forward's/centres that we desperately need. Doui looked way more dangerous with the ball in the halves and his salary is a quarter of what luai makes...

Luai has tried hard and poor guy has lost about 10 games in a row now.

But his game has gone backwards since being here and we only have us to blame. It is very hard to play like an elite player when you're not given the same resources as other clubs.

we got1 of those ,its called Bud Sullivan
Yeah unfortunately his defence and setting up tries ain't good either.

Might make a difference with two fast outside backs outside of the 5/8th.

Next year how about this.

1. Bula.
2. Turuva.
3. Marakisini
4. May.
5. Toa.

Toa used to be a winger. Least a bit of speed and power in the centres

i like the fact we are starting to have above average choices in the back line

Would help if we had the go forward needed to create momentum. Can't win without the right pigs - wouldn't matter who it is in his position.
Exactly. Our forwards are rubbish and have been for years. May and Api are genuine NRL standard but the rest are either marginal NRL level e.g Twal or KOE level e.g Sukkar. That’s the brutal truth.

If Richo is the administrator he once was he has a huge job to do. First thing is to rid the club of the 2005 boys club coaching team from Benji down and then try to convince up to 6 quality players to come to the club. I don’t think he has the stomach for the first job and I don’t think he’s capable of the second job. If I’m a good player I and want to stay that way I wouldn’t join WT for any money.

1/2 the problem is the continual blow ups n restructures. We need to show stability (and I don't mean through wooden spoons) to show players we are a good club.
Blowing it up will only mean starting from scratch again.
Whether Benji is up to coaching needs to be played out further. Hopefully we will find some better players to bolster the team next year and build on what has started this year.

Sure, but when we are on top and do have field position he doesn't do much.
He doesn't have to make the match winning play - it's a team sport.
People just looking for yet another Wests Tigers voodoo doll to poke pins in. We have a good history of it, myself included.

Still early days, but patterns forming.... think we bought a pup!!
There are a lot of issues ,starting with the coaching, but as an elite player on $1.2 mill he just doesnt make a difference tbh.
Love his competitiveness and resolve, but it aint translating into points...completely outplayed by Douhi today...and his long kicking was much less effective than his reserve grade opponent at Warriors

He can get out whenever he wants, sio long as he takes Benji with him!

I wish I shared your optimism mate. Apart from Morris, who has some coaching credentials, our coaches are rank novices. I like them all as former great players of our club but I haven’t seen any evidence of good coaching all year.
We need an influx of around 6 quality players but we won’t get them.
