Apisai Koroisau #263

Still, one of the best to ever pull on our jersey.

We haven't deserved him, hes been the best in our team for years and now we got people complaining we're stuck with him.

We had Brooks for 10 years and he couldn't even tie Apis shoelace.
That's exactly why we should have learnt from that mistake.

The position of the Titans on the ladder does not reflect the quality of their playing roster. There are so many talented juniors in the Northern Rivers and Gold Coast playing RL or RU. Traditionally we always struggle against them.
They have a couple of maroons forwards also who only a couple weeks ago humiliated the blues aswell. Brimson, Campbell and Sami are quality in their positions aswell. I feel they should be doing a lot better than their ladder position

Yeah, but respect doesn't equal prioritising a would be 34yo rake in 2027. Cameron Smith might have played until 36, but he was an outlier with a very different skill set.
Yeah, Smith didn't often have to play with blokes on our level. Anyone at Storm not up to scratch was either improved or moved on. Had a decent coach, too.

The problem with Api isn’t the 2025 version, it’s the version 26 and beyond. If he’s starting to decline already, that’s a red flag. And if TDS kicks on, the club will look like idiots.
even Blind Freddy can see Api digressing over the last few years , Coach may have just realized also starting him from the bench today. How they didnt sell that to TDS leaves me baffled

I think Latu is just finding his feet as a 7.. today he played a role, but I didn't see him "play what was Infront of him"... Maybe we needed that stability today... With an offseason under his belt I think we will see a much improved player .
Yep, Latu is just doing his education.

Some weeks he'll go after it, some weeks he'll steer around from first receiver, some weeks he'll probably put a bunch of work through his kicking.

He's just a seedling.

Hopefully we see him busy out of structure a couple of times in the next few weeks.

Maybe the coaching staff just preferred Haywood, it’ll be another couple years before we see how this pans out
Maybe. Still, it was a very different story performance wise two years ago to the day, that WT announced the6 had extended Api for a further 2 years

I really don't see the need to rush anything with Api this time around . He can go to market in November and we can either compete or not with a counter offer.

If you look backwards they have a proven track record of being idiots I don't think they are worried about it

Hes not declining with his speed or skill or smartness. His priorities are wrong. He's not slow, he gets behind the ball, always gets to marker etc. he just seems too engrossed in playing the 2023/2024 version of himself.

He will come good. The coaches need to get into him about choosing poor options.

Only saw the second half but Api was fine? Like did his job and desperately unlucky not to get a penalty off a near break.

He can’t play 80 for the full season though. Need some tackling machine for first 20 IMO.
His service and his options were wrong in the attacking 20. Not at all saying that he was the reason for the halves ineptness but API gave loopy balls, kept passing it to forwards and didn't even once do a bullet pass off the ground. Luai was often getting the ball 15-20m behind the ruck with the defender in his face.
