Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

He’s been useless for the past 2 months and the team we support has won only 1 game during this time.
Seems crazy to me that he keeps being selected to play if he’s injured.
He was injured most of last season also, so a pattern is forming.

He hasn’t been great … but he is your new whipping boy … he is not the only one to blame for the results … they are dominated in the forwards just about every game

Solomona Fa’atape is set to move to Super League after reportedly informing the Tigers that he is set to move to the Catalans Dragons.

“The belief and faith shown by Benji & Richardson will never be forgotten by the Faatape family.”

Catalans are undergoing a major transformation with several players set to depart the club.

He will do well in that competition where defence can be optional at times…which wil suit him … he can be ok with ball in hand

You said our players 1-5 were the worst in the comp.

I get it. You hate To'a. Just make sure you don't cheer next time he breaks the line, scores a try or makes a try assist like he has done on 24 occasions this season combined.

When you spout El-Khazim as worthy of a jersey and talk shit about Sam Fainu being slow, these are the ramblings of a bloke who has found problems that aren't there.

Please. Tell me who your 1-5 would be.
To be fair, Toa is going the best he has since coming here just like doobie, but are they just playing for their new contract??
I don’t agree that Sam is slow but he has performed poorly this season, 2nd season blues, maybe? He’s going good but not great. Sam was a beast last season.
I need to see toa play consistently for more than his contract year before i cheer to loud for him! It’s ok to have constructive criticism on our team. Funny how a few weeks back everyone was bagging Doubie, now there all in love with him.

Hate to say it, but I don't think KPP will be that dynamic backrower we all want.

He's scored 2 tries in the NRL in 38 games and scored 7 in 60 odd games with Wigan.

He's going to disappoint a few.
it’s the coaching with this one, knights attack is really poor they aren’t encouraged to move the ball at all, offload etc. they have KPP & Dylan Lucas they are really under-utilised. AOB has KPP as a tackle eater & just running decoys. i think he’ll suit our way of playing a lot more and that’s why benji has snagged him.

No but I do agree with the basic point - that an injured player should not be played if they cant do the full job. As I recall at least the past 2 games he has obviously been carrying an arm- which must affect both tackling, passing and fending off tacklers.

When you say our forwards are dominated just about every game, are you taking about attack and defence, or just the fact they concede far too many easy metres when defending ?
It’s a genuine question as I don’t see too much of a problem in our team as a whole which includes our forwards with assistance from our backs in making good yardage when we are in ball possession. The only attack related problem I see is far too much one out running, our inability to play with any width from within our own half and our indecision when attacking in the red zone.
When watching nearly every game every week, most other NRL teams do not regularly have these same issues and it’s noticeable they get a lot more attacking impetus from their fullback and edges (back row and centres).
Last weekend against the Titans demonstrated that Taylan May gives us an attacking threat at left centre with good assistance from Jeral Skelton outside him, but I cannot even think of the last time we made a clean line break from within our own half ?
Then regarding our lack of attacking edge back row threat, Samuela Fainu is generally our most likely to bust tackles, make a line break, make a half line break with a quick play the ball, get an offload or score a try, however his overall form has been well down on last year and it was only really the Roosters game where he’s demonstrated what he’s capable of.
Other than him, the much maligned Alex Seyfarth has done some good things in attack recently, yet many see him as our problem ?

Take another look at the Warriors game and you will see what I mean …they (Tigers) didn’t have anywhere near the physicality on both sides of the ball…
