Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Leniu & Stone would be icing on the cake imo the value of what Ray Stone could bring to our pack is way more than I reckon he's on at the Phins.
Lenui is not available..Roosters wont release him
.Stone is a career fringe 1st grader.Weve got too many of them already...A step backwards
Think NAS will be freed up if Storm buy Tino...theres our opportunity. But many other clubs thinking the same
Next opportunity is for defence coach to learn the rush defence which has carried Dogs to where they are this season..plus other top teams.Theyre always marginally offside, but mostly get away with it
After that, punt the chronic missed tackle players on the edge..were doing that.Sorry Brent
Then...find someone who can punt the ball accurately so we put the same pressure on their FB that Bula regularly receives.Ours are too often gifts.

I see Bateman is back at it on the socials.

We live rent free in his head. Moron.
Can you post a link?

I don't think it's rent free. We paid a fair bit for him and probably still paying a fair chunk for him to moan and complain.

Watching him from behind the goal posts he badgers his team a lot. More the barking at the young wingers than helping organise. Does a lot more talking than actual running. But so far it is Bateman 2 Wests Tigers 0. If we actually won these games we could humble him.

We see different things. I see Stone's effort, line speed, contact in tackles ... a team lifting player, not a game breaker!

Re Leniu, anyone can fall from the tree in the off-season. We saw it with Terrell. Highly unlikely but Roosters have a few to upgrade and have heaps of forward depth so you never know.

On another note , I see that Crichton got off free again , his hit on may then his head attack this weekend and he doesn’t even get charged, is GUS running the NRL
They've simply stopped policing the head-highs since Seyfarth got done. No idea what's happened but nobody is binned anymore for careless head contact?

Is this like Bryce Gibbs where he got 3 weeks for kneeing Luke Burt in the back and nobody has ever been penalised for it since?

Or rolling the ball with your foot in the play the ball that they have decided as of 4pm yesterday to stop cracking down on

So many let go yesterday and they were on the bad side.

The Eels starting forward pack and bench last night was much smaller than ours today, so extra size alone is not the answer.
You need players with aggression and a strong desire for collision, the Eels have a few of them with the likes of Hopgood, Jack Williams etc. Who in our current forwards pack really wants to get off the line fast and whack our opposition ? Really only the Fainu boys on occasions and when he’s angry Alex Seyfarth.
Does not mean that our forwards should have performed better, we just don't have a really strong forward pack, we need a couple that can damage our opponents,
We simply don't, we have a pack of powder puffs, Parra have a small pack but they know how to hurt opponents.

Someone made mention of the squad being better which it is however we still have depth issues. Personally, I never want to see Sukkar, Murray or Seyfarth play 1st grade again.
That's the point Tito the forward pack has to be strong enough that any of them only come into the side when injuries happen, still some work for Richo and Benji to do in recruitment.
