More depth which can only be a good thing.
Can’t have too much depth Sir …
Although the Top 30 spots are diminishing… hope we aren’t letting a spot there go

Think hes cookedI hope we get the back fence Brown version and not the half pace Brown version.
Remember,he was top 5 in the Dally M this year before he got injured...and was playing OK, albeit against bottom teams when Dogs were leading the compIf we let Bula go and replace him with Connor Tracey my head would pop, there’s so many better young fullbacks on the market, and isn’t Will Kennedy unsigned still?
Would think that means Mason is on thin ice. Dramatically improve in 26 or out.On our radar apparently ...

EXCLUSIVE: Penrith Panthers release young fullback, linked with rival team
He was regarded as Dylan Edwards’ future successor.www.zerotackle.com
Keep in mind his actual contract with us is under $1 mill and it's 3rd party agreements that take him to 1.2I don't think for a second he would be expecting to get a pay rise from us, regardless of what happens between now and round 10 (I think the deadline is, just from memory. Could be way off).
There could be plenty of other stuff happen between now and then that I could see resulting in him abandoning ship. Why would you not wait as insurance against that?
Let's paint a totally unrealistic worst case scenario. Luai struggling for form, 10 straight losses, Marshall fired, Richo died of a heart attack, Latu perennially injured, Pole still struggling, Hunt reaches 130kg, Terrell injured long term, Taylan jailed long term, club struggling financially with media reports questioning if we can afford to pay players.
All Luai had to do was wait a few months and he could have avoided being tied to that for another year. In what situation is signing early the better option for him?
It is so unreasonable to expect him to do so that if he did, sure, most of me would think heck yeah thats the commitment we want from a leader but a part of me would go is this bloke stupid? And he is supposed to be a leader here?
Still not as long as a Springsteen gig.Anyone else watching the World Series game ?
About to start the 18th innings … been going six and a half hours …
Would like to say it’s exciting… but that’s not the case 😑
Ridiculous hey! Never really watched MLB before & maybe won't again hahahaAnyone else watching the World Series game ?

Interesting that Jack Attard played hooker for St Doms in '23 and can also play 5/8. Could become that electric bench utility down the track that we hope/d Mason developed into.Would think that means Mason is on thin ice. Dramatically improve in 26 or out.
I'll give everyone on this forum $1 if Luai goes to the bears or dolphins. He will be staying at the Tigers.
Yeah thats all good for Luai but hes getting paid in THE TOP 10 in the league. Asa club having that kind of money tied up in a player that could leave is BS. He talks abt rebuilding the club he needs to remove the clauses on that kind of money. Like i said im a massive Luai fan and he has done plenty for the club but this year needs to go up a notch, which im expecting him to do but the clauses have to go regardless of coaching staff. We cant be held at ransom. As a club players and coaching need to improve next year its that simple.Indefinitely. Because If I'm Richo I'm talking to other fullbacks not sitting on my hands hoping Bula makes a decision. But until one is signed im continuing to show interest in Bula as well.
Also I wouldn't include Luai in this. He has zero reason to remove his clauses. He has said and done all the right things to suggest he will remain at the club but it would be foolish of him to remove the clauses.
He wont get that money anywhere but here. Hes not going anywhere although those BS clauses need to go.Likely … when is he gunna decide ? What’s he waiting for ?
Should have been punted this year tbhWould think that means Mason is on thin ice. Dramatically improve in 26 or out.
Got a team full of bench players ...dont need any moreInteresting that Jack Attard played hooker for St Doms in '23 and can also play 5/8. Could become that electric bench utility down the track that we hope/d Mason developed into.
Until it is reported anywhere other than here, I just don't believe the first paragraph to be at all true. I've never seen anyone put forth any sort of evidence for it.Keep in mind his actual contract with us is under $1 mill and it's 3rd party agreements that take him to 1.2
The reason we signed him is because of the clauses.
If we want them removed then we will have to compensate him for it - and that's completely fair... Negotiation is a two way street. If he loses the flexibility then he needs to be conpensated for it... Give him an extra 100k a year and lock him in.
Why does he need to? He literally doesn't need to and there is no reason why he would.Yeah thats all good for Luai but hes getting paid in THE TOP 10 in the league. Asa club having that kind of money tied up in a player that could leave is BS. He talks abt rebuilding the club he needs to remove the clauses on that kind of money. yup he’s an exciting prospect considering we’ve never really had that position come thru our pathways. We at least have an excellent youngster coming through words exactly like that in Lanyon, training with the NRL squad in the off season will help him a lot too
No Tito please ,Not Madden . Surely we cant go back to playing Madden in FG.Based on my analysis below we need coverage at FB, Hooker and Lock.
There is a huge difference in the best players in those positions and the next man up.
The halves you can shuffle with. Madden is a competent first grader.
FB: Bula/Mason
OB: Turuva/Skelton/May/Toa/Makasini/L Laulili/Saukuru
5/8: Luai/Andrews
HB: Douhei/L. Fainu/Madden
Prop: May/Pole/Twal/Hunt/Brown/Afoa/K Laulili
HK: Koroisau/Hope/Haywood
BR: Sam Fainu/Sione Fainu/KPP/Roberts/Geyer/Seyfarth/Sukkar/Godinet/Taupau-Moors
Lock: Bird
He won’t be first choice, but with our unsettled halves, he’ll see a fair bit of FG imo.No Tito please ,Not Madden . Surely we cant go back to playing Madden in FG.
