I believe that PVL thought returning the independents would appease Wests Tigers fans, it didn't.

I have seen the results of HBG major boards. I have seen the club turn the corner under the independents, I want to see that continue.
You haven’t seen the results of the next 3-13 months yet, we cannot predict the future ti know that PVL’d intervention as a results of the fans voice being heard, will not change the way HBG operate for the better moving forward.
Ongoing protests causing unneeded drama for Wests Tigers is not allowing PVL’s intervention a chance to work.

15 years of failure, largely under the HBG watch is enough for me.

Watching the HBG over the last 18 months has been like a season of game of thrones. They have sacked 8 directors, including 3 chairs and replace 2 CEOs. Sounds dysfunctional to me and I want them as far away from the club as possible.

Well it won’t be happening anytime soon unless they stuff up again.
It’s quite obvious PVL believes the best outcome is giving them a stern warning and advising there will be major ramifications such as likely removing them from their NRL controlling interest if boardroom issues continue to happen.
The fans voices have been heard which led to PVL’s intervention and the board members being reinstated, if we continue to protest and carry on without waiting to see if things run how they should be run moving forward we will be effecting the playing group more than anyone else.
If HBG stuff up again it’s a different story and they would deserve what they get.
PVL would remove them without any need for the fans to again protest if that was the case.

They have stuffed up for 15 years, it is enough. PVL doesn't even understand what fans are upset about. He thinks it's to with Balmain, it has nothing to do with Balmain.

This is the war Leo Epifania mentioned in yesterdays SMH

From another magpie director....this is directed at us all

Im having another dig at this after mulling it over. This individual has no self awareness. Right at the beginning of his rant he talks about credibility and immediately loses any he has by misquoting the reason for the rally and the attendance numbers.
He talks about the rally being divisive and then rants about magpies this and magpies that.
Ok, I understand that nostalgic Wests supporters might see an area as 'holy', a significant part of their heritage. But instead of talking as if Wests Tigers were desecrating that area, he could instead have celebrated the fact that Wests Tigers supporters had chosen that place to make their stand. He didn't choose to support the Wests side of the joint venture, he chose divisiveness.
This rant is all about one persons sad, nostalgic, divisive view. Pathetic really, after 25 years.

I am unsure of what outcome the protesters are attempting to achieve, other than to divide the club and get rid of the Western Suburbs' 90 percent ownership of the club. How the HGB is structured is a matter for this club, and its members, and in my view, Wests Tigers members and supporters should have no involvement in this matter, severely damages Wests Tigers brand to prospective members and players etc.
Concerning the internal review of Wests Tigers by Tony Crawford (North Sydney Bears Board Member) and Gary Barnier (controversial aged care executive), and implementing an independent board, I think it was always doomed for failure. Most successful NRL clubs do not use this, to my knowledge. I couldn't imagine Sydney Roosters handing over control of their football club.
I think the march was the exact opposite. They want west tigers. Not balmain Nor Magpies. They want unity. That's why I and many others went. We are sick of them ripping the place up everytime they feel like it. How you come to your conclusion beggers belief.
Thank goodness we have fans that give a shit . It's our club not HBG. WE will be here long after HBG is gone

Part of the criticism is they supposedly don’t like the Balmain side of the merger, don’t care, don’t spend any money and do nothing to help.
Funding the Balmain junior reps contradicts those beliefs.
U keep making this a balmain vs magpies thing, when everyone keeps saying its a wests tigers vs an inept HBG thing. And to answer your earlier question i couldnt give a rats backside what the junior teams are called...any reasonable person will say they should all be wests tigers as thats the club we support isnt it? However call them the Lidcombe Magpies for all i care...just give me a well managed footy operation with a successful wests tigers first grade team.

You say that as you are one of the idiots who always argued against this position, as is the guy who liked your comment btw…
I never knew it at all and never claimed to. I suspected it. It made total sense to me through the process of elimination. They were the constant.

Lies. Show me where I argued in favour of HBG

Chad the WT fan...not ex Balmain or ex Magpies is fed up to the back teeth with all this. It's their club now. The people with old allegiances have to accept that.

How do you force your "history" on people that never lived it? When they say history, my belief is that they mean memories, but a 25 year old kid is not going to have an emotive response about Wests or Balmain when they never got to experience it.

For them, the 05 grand final is their "history" and they'll tell that story to some other 25 year old 50 years later who couldn't give a rats ass about Benji Marshall because in their mind, Benji is old has-been.

No amount of Wests ownership or majority board or Magpies or Balmain reserve grade is going to change that.
We spoke to a couple of young guys, 17 and 15, I think, and you've just hit the nail on the head. 2005 is what they consider WT history. They weren't even sure who the "old bloke" (Blocker) was!

So who will find it if it doesn’t come from Wests Ashfield ?
Would you be happy if there was no more Balmain junior reps ? I know I wouldn’t be as it I know what it means tj the young kids who play reugby league in the Balmain junior district, but if HBG co tiniest get criticised for everything decosionbthe make, why would they bother continuing to help ?
Because they have a vested interest in the Rozelle site.
Paton said "Balmain isnt going anywhere"

Because if they continue to be made out to be villains who dont like the Balmain side of the merger, don’t care, don’t spend any money to assist Wests Tigers and don’t do anything to help,
If thst ideology doesn’t change, Why would they bother to keep funding teams they are not obliged to fund, but only do it for the good of Wests Tigers ?
HBG arent going to stop funding,,,they have a shiny new leagues club waiting for them, you dont wanna upset your local potential patrons/members
