I remember hearing about it when it first happened, not sure if was on your podcast or somewhere else.
I don’t think it’s even a secret that DB has at least had thoughts he could somehow revive the Magpies at NRL level, but as I’ve said many times it is not a realistic option of happening and that has been emphasised by PVL.
Any business or corporation ,unless its a mining company that has done thorough research, shouldn't lock into a 15 year contract.
On face value , without knowing any fine print/ loop holes, Why lock into an extreme contract length ,when better valued deals maybe just over the horizon

We saw our entire board fired, Everything in the papers and for what? A shade of orange on the Jersey?
None of the actions of HBG related to ANYTHING our team is actually doing!... and that's my point.
While HBG are playing the Magpies vs Balmain game or as I suspect the Wests Ashfield vs Campbelltown game. The Team gets ignored.
Of the 4 independent directors, none of them are NRL players. Only 1 is an Athlete.
Gould went into Penrith and slapped everyone till everyone was saying "NRL, NRL, NRL" all the time. We brainfarted into a Non-NRL important situation and then panic-signed Benji.
Not disagreeing with you, but asking the question who is thinking of the NRL team?

There was a tonne of opposition when he was named as a candidate for chairperson.
Literally no one wanted him chairperson. The fact that HBG considered him an option was beyond moronic.
