HBG, only a month ago, showed they have no idea how to run anything. They have set our recruitment back years. If we strip that one brain explosion out by itself, that's enough to warrant this action against them. Let alone the rest of the well-documented history.
On the report that was "commissioned by the two individuals". It was still apparently confirmed by the entire board.... let's even say Barnier was a questionable choice for it, what was actually wrong with the report? To everyone who understands proper corporate governance and our history of failure driven by HBG, the report seemed to land on an appropriate new governance structure.
These blokes in HBG are custodians of the club. Nothing more. They should want what is best for it, not governed by their own egos or desires. If that had been demonstrated to all of us, then they wouldn't have all this action against them. Even come out of the shadows and bloody well talk to people. Not hide behind their CEO or media leaks.
We heard more from the WT independent directors in their 9 months than we have out of HBG board members in 2 decades!!
Your defence of them is outstanding, and you put up a good argument. I can tell you're a smart guy. But you're glossing over some pretty key facts.
From the outside looking in, these guys are inexperienced, unaccountable, easily manipulated and driven by their own self-interests. If they aren't that way, then they should be out there fronting members to change the perception that they themselves have created.
