Every forward went well, including bench. Big numbers from May and Pole. Really punishing defense from Samuela Fainu and Pearce-Paul. Doueihi and Madden made most of the platform laid by forwards. Turuva and Herbert really good games as well.

Yes, I was hoping it would be 42-10. Great result but I felt a tad deflated at full time. We blew a few chances and conceded late points.

The risk with letting points in late is it flows into other performances. I like the way Benji handled it and agree 100% with him

It’s great to win but at the end found it abit deflating not just letting the points in but how we did as well. Skelton gave up one and then we just didn’t stop momentum and let them race upfield and fast.

HM - Turuva one of his best games even when he was injured. KPP his defence was great 40 tackles 0 missed.
It’s great to have such a tough time picking 321 because so many were worthy of points when in past seasons it has been who actually deserved any points at all.

That is a problem with Brisbane...

As one commentator put it "calling the Brisbane vs Melbourne game mid SOO, the reserve grade side of both teams is greater then many first grade sides in the NRL".

Sure Brisbane have lost people like Madden, Hetherington and a few fringies wanting their first grade shots... They still have a lot of boys wanting to prove something.

That said, Tito you are right they are big injuries. Also something rotten is going on in Madge's side.
Finalists Slump.
They don't all just go "We want to go now, sign us contracts". Not slamming Madge, maybe it's his fault OR maybe the players are spoiled OR maybe it's a bit of everything.

2. Turuva, bro you are awesome. I really think our backline owes itself to this guy. Seriously Turuva seems to be the main player sorting defense in the back, even more so then Laui
3. Patrick Herbert. some errors but scored a try on Debut.

Game was decided in the first 40 minutes & these three, along with Herbert & Turuva, played the biggest part in that.

KPP was excellent as well. Pole gets no mentions- but he's running as good as anyone.
