Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Horror diagnoses? Talk about sensationalism. Six weeks could be a good thing considering it looked like it could have easily been season ending. And idk about anyone else, but I got flashes of Tuiaki. Thankfully it’s nothing like that. So six weeks is a relief in a way. Who knows, could be less if he rehabs well.
Only misses 5 games aswell with the bye in there

Luke L goneski, Skelton goneski? We have no depth.

wingers seem to be a spot they think they can “get by” …been that way for a while …. They need something more than developing guys with less than 10 games between them.., they need to be able to do plenty of work these days …at both ends of the field… and it would be good to have an experienced campaigner next season

Luke L has taken a jump this year … has looked good apart from the first game … but he is gone and you would think Maka has a big question mark after next year..Skelton probably has his bags packed

Winger is the biggest need for 2027 outside back up 9

What is it with this club and foot injuries.
More foot injuries than you can poke a stick at.
I'm beginning to think foot injuries is a euphemism.
Does anyone connected with the club use air quotes when they say foot injury? I'm curious to know.
Do we need to employ Dr. Scholl?

I wonder if it has anything to do the type of boots they are wearing, the stud pattern can effect feet. Back when I was playing league for my school & soccer for my local club and regional reps I ended up getting a different pair (both pairs with screw in studs) for league with a different pattern, the Physio at Blacktown City blamed my foot problems on wearing my soccer boots while playing league with the wrong stud pattern & wrong length studs.

I ended up with a pair of Adidas with more smaller diametre studs on it (12 or 14 from memory) for league whilst wearing my usual 10 stud Pumas for soccer.

Excerpts from https://www.smh.com.au/sport/nrl/cl...rs-retained-jahream-bula-20260505-p5zts2.html

The joint-venture outfit on Tuesday confirmed the news this masthead broke over the weekend - that Bula would forgo an opportunity to test his market worth by opting to stay put. Significantly, the new deal has no get-out clauses, and will cost the Tigers less than $1 million per season, before ratchet clauses are factored in.

Tigers recruiter Shannon Gallant had done most of the heavy lifting in negotiations, and when chief executive Shaun Mielekamp stepped in late last week, one of the most intriguing contract sagas in the modern game finally came to an end.

“What was really important in all of our conversations was what was best for Jahream,” Mielekamp said.

“It was about what was best for him as a player, as a person, for him to continue to develop his game under Benji, for him to be part of the culture of this club. They were the really genuine considerations.

“We’re talking about a player of faith, a player who believes in club values and has seen this club go through some pretty crazy times. Even for just Jahream’s own personal journey, he wanted to know this club is the real deal behind the scenes and not just smoke and mirrors. A big part of this is the values of the club, what we stand for and what we mean.”

Has anybody else noticed our reserve grade winger. fiangaa and how bloody well he plays ? Anyone know his story or if the club have him signed up for next year ? Every time I have seen them play he is pretty much the standout player
Seen him play a few weeks back Ned and was thinking the same thing yesterday, a real goer, if he could handle the high ball you'd give him a shot.
