They've been competing for trophies across all grades for years. We don't even make the finals. They are a lot better than us. They have proper systems in place and professional people managing the processes. They invest wisely in the right places.

And no, currently there's no way things can change for us. HBG do not give any money for us to build the systems that we need in order to be a development club.

You’re looking too narrow Tom. They finished top 4 last year & made silly decisions to their top roster.

I’m talking about underneath that. They have invested in a halves academy, a Fiji academy & have recruited a lot of top line kids across the country to have a production line in the future. Unfortunately there’s a few Tiger Jnrs in there

Parrramatta spend a smiliar amount too and they are even worse than us last 2 years ..

Let me give you a tip if you haven’t seen it for yourself …there is no chance our owners are ever tipping $5m a year to spend on the football pathways … if that is what is required to have success ..it’s never going to happen

Gus has done a terrible job then …

Money helps but it’s not the be all and end all

But has he been training?

Two possibilities:
1. He has been training in Jail for 7 years and is looking for a paycheck. He will then try at Boxing and want a NRL stint. We could use a beefcake forward.

2. he has done not much for 7 years or isn't up to our fitness standard. We send him to Reggie's on a trial n train or value outside of the cap. Benchwarmer because we need Samuela in our squad/keep Fainu's happy.

He was reportedly staying fit and teaching rugby league whilst in prison. I think it would only take one off-season to get his fitness back up to standard but who knows how long to get his game sense and timing back.

Blore offers nothing in attack, great defence though. He doesn’t move the needle even slightly

I think he could be a weapon in attack. A few seasons ago he was by some metrics the best off-loader in the NRL. He also doesn't mind running a hard unders line, probably just lacking a little bit of footwork at the line. Left edge at Melbourne is a hard spot for an edge to excel as Munster rarely hits his lead runner.

Sukkar is just as good as Blore and potentially better.

I haven't seen that much of him but am prepared to say no he is not.

I'd be looking at the Warriors lower grades. There always appears to be no shortage of good second row forwards.

As an edge second rower or as a middle forward ?
Blore doesn’t have the speed and athleticisms to be a better than average edge second rower, but he does run hard and defend well tj be a better than average middle forward.

The best coach I have ever seen picked him to start in 2 grand finals as an edge …are you a better judge you think ?

You obviously didn’t watch the video where this information come from the horses mouth, so it’s no point continuing this conversation.
The comment was that we have previously wasted far too much money on unproven young players and a decision was made to no longer do that as far too much money gets wasted and they are staying for the wrong seasons if it’s all about money.
I can tell you it’s very necessary as money talks and you cannot fit every young player with plenty of potential on a Development or Top 30 contract.
Stupidity at its finest.

But we need to use the money to prop up a soccer team.

He is a replacement for Seyfarth really. Bench middles and cover of the edge

Leliua as a bench middle to replace Royce is good. He can be very effective in that role. Much for effective than Royce
