He had a bloke making multiple tackle breaks and line breaks on the other edge. It hasn’t worked too well without him this season.
Too many people underestimate the importance the edge back rowers have on a teams attack. If your edge second rowers are not genuine tackle breaks and line break threats, it effects the teams halves and the teams overall attack suffers.

I was surprised when they partnered up with APIA.
Not sure what the theory behind that is ?
Alll I know is most if not all within the HBG hierarchy ideally want Wests Magpies to be highly successful in the NSW Cup.
They would be well aware you need to spend money to develop your pathways and keep your best pathways talent if you want them tj feed through and help win games for Wests Magpies along their journey tj hopefully becoming Wests Tigers regulars.
This being the case, why would those within the HBG hierarchy want to deliberately do anything to Georgia ?
It makes no sense to me.
 
I think this is a good time to take a pause and look at Luai. He was exceptional in his last season at the Panthers with Cleary out half the season. It’s partly why we were all so hyped about his signing. Any player that we sign, there has to be question marks as to whether they are going to bring their best to this club. Especially on marquee money. Because apart from Api, there aren’t many others at all that have come here and busted a gut.

Tigers fans will meltdown when he becomes the premier 6 again when playing for PNG... is it possible its us, and not them, thats the problem?

Just because you have someone signed up doesn't guarantee they're going to perform, or that you may not want to replace them at some stage.

You want as much talent as is possible. When there's no cap it's easy for clubs like the dogs, Broncos, wahs to horde young talent and generate necessary depth

In an ideal world yes. I don’t think Wests Tigers operate in an ideal situation financially (as confirmed by the last CEO), and upping payments to juniors who are going to leave anyway is stupidity.

Kids 17-18 who want success should be focusing on improving their game, not their earn. I’d rather see us spend on the coaching and development side of things.

If they want the Magpies to be successful, they might wanna have a look a what the Jets are doing
- actually recruiting and paying decent players.

I think the main aim From those guys is to see Magpies running out - and not the Tigers, that’s it.
They don’t care how it’s run, if it wins or what not.
They just want it to exist
