It's time to take the fight back to HBG

I want to put all my effort into finding a new license holder for the club. I now don’t care about anything else. Once this changes, I’m sure everything else will be an easier fix.
It looks like Red Bull are starting to get involved with Rugby League with the sponsorships on fox. They own a stack of football sides, I'd love to see someone like them buy the license. RB Wests Tigers.

We would become the P.N.G and Roosters combined. Imagine that. Having a salery sombrero that never runs out.

It would be good for the poddys to pick this up again.

I think the action is a open letter to PVL, signed by supporters, to suggest that until the governance is fixed, and they reimplement the report (and potentially richo) that the signatories will be ceasing any viewership, membership and merchandise purchasing.

Could work on the eve of the new TV rights.

They just had to blow us up when we were building with Richo. We still don't know the reason other than they felt left out.

We won't move forward until these guys are gone or diminished.

The reasons I thought were the jerseys ( too much orange) and the long term agreements with Cambo and Leichhardt… not saying these were justified… but it was what was leaked at the time ..

This is screaming out to be owned by people who actually care.

But Anthony Field and Benny Elias should not be involved one eyed Balmain or West supporters will only set us back further.
100%

But club ownership is actually an optimal model with our pathways (private may neglect that). Just this unaccountable, squatter based model with the debenture holders is where it goes wrong.

Need to either fix at hbg level or keep WT board separate as per the report.

We need people who have earned their position. Culture starts at the top.

We have had independent people on the Board before, where did that get us?

I truly don't think Board and HBG is our biggest problem.

They're crappy owners, they don't provide us with funding, connections or support. I understand that and that sucks! But, we cannot get rid of them.

The idea that they hinder our progression is something I doubt.

If we are getting another $10m from the NRL, Shaun has every right to spend it as he sees fit without Board approval. Maybe Lee H or Pascoe or Mayer or Humpty, genuine question, have they ever come out and said HBG blocked how they wanted to spend our money? Someone who's been more involved on this topic for 20 years ago may know the answer to this.
They control both boards and make the decisions ie Benji for 5 years etc
They keep making dumb decisions that impact the running of the NRL team

I don’t blame them for the last few months results, that’s on coaches and players.

Yes they’ve been fantastic. Their decisions based on individual critical thinking has collectively been top notch over the years and formed the groundwork of our success.
The fact that the footy team hasn’t played finals in 13 or 14 years is in no way reflective of their outstanding work in every hiring and firing. Exceptional.
I would love to see them move to Storm, Roosters and Panthers. Those teams could do with some improved performance at board level.

The simple way to,sort this out was to have a predominate orange jersey and a predominate black one , then we play the same amount of games at Cambo and Leichhardt say 5 and 5 Cambo wears the black , Leichhardt wears the orange , but that would be to hard for the idiots running the place , this could have been a simple instruction to Richo this is what we want it’s fair get it done , and the independent board should never have been blown up , and as it was by HBG they should be made to put out the reason for it by the nrl , and in a fan of selling Wests Tigers off to a new owner but it won’t happen unless PVL was involved because the debenture holders won’t let the magpie fold , with no wests tigers maybe the nrl would dump the magpies I don’t know but could happen so no sale magpies live on , I would like to see the nrl take 51 % of the joint and form a new board to run it , this way HBG would not loose their magpies but would loose control of the nrl team , we would be better off , or as others have said Red Bull Wests Tigers , Or similar , lobby PVL with first up a petition then a few rallies but if you rally you need people to turn up if not don’t bother , 50, 100 , 300 would b a waste of time you need 3000 , 5000 that way it send a message

Did you read my first two paragraphs 🤦‍♂️

Yes I did read the whole post.
I was reacting to your last sentence “The idea that they hinder our progression is something I doubt.” which contradicted your earlier remarks.
The way I see it is Penriths board and CEO certainly have legitimacy in sharing responsibility for the teams GF wins, their decisions have influenced positive outcomes.
