Wests Tigers also played Raiders in a Jersey Flegg development game yesterday, won by a try. It is on Bar TV for those interested under NSWRL, Junior Development. Title says U18 Development but I believe it was a Flegg Development as there were players aged 17-21 involved. I hope to watch the full replay some time this week.

Lost 17-16 in a match we should have won, just too clunky in attack to take our chances with passing not crisp from the halves in particular Smith

Disappointing loss last week by the field goal against the Eels.

I thought our best were Taupau-Moors, both wingers Jack Nicholas & Huahulu, Edwards-Moeke & Blake Van Drie.

CTM is putting together a good month in both Flegg & Cup and wouldn't be surprised if he gets more reps in Cup before the end of the season.

Jared Haywood & Mitch Taotua drop back to Flegg this week for their trip to Fiji so will start overwhelming favourites. If they are switched on and don't take this game lightly, it should be a confidence-boosting win.

They need a solid win, based on current form.

Very disappointing performance in Flegg today in Fiji despite the win 14-32. Not sure how hot the conditions were but may have been a factor in our flat effort.

The Silktails were bigger & more physical. The only aspect that got us the game were the huge number of errors from the home side.

tbh the only players that looked the part for us were Archie Duncombe, Blake Van Drie, Jared Haywood, Filipe Huahulu & Jack Nicholas. Duncombe, BVD & Haywood were instrumental for our win and the wingers provided some good finishing.

I have talked up Mitch Taotua for the past couple of months but he put in a stinker today, manhandled by the Silktails at times & looked disinterested & sometimes proppy on a knee. Hopefully just a one-off.

Xavier Tauaifaiga put in his typical whole-hearted effort as did Bailey Smith but really no one stood out as a future NRL prospect today except the three Haywood, Duncombe & Van Drie.

How good is Archie coming along? Really like him. Hope he’s retained with some sort of Contract.
