Jock Madden #244

Not another one down but could have been when he badly stubbed his foot on Saturday, self inflicted wound.
Once again Tuesday 4pm becoming a crucial time slot.
Not sorry to see him out , sick of his missed tackles, his 2-3 meter kicks for touch , and finding the fullback or wingers on the full , with no zip in the kick

Good news mate - he’s in !!!!
I'm happy to see Madden in too Brownie.
I just cast an eye over the stats for Line break involvements.
I knew he was going well, but he is killing it in that area that really counts, pulls the team together etc. There's only Dylan Brown ahead of him.
If we're lucky enough to have Jock at 7 for the rest of the season, well anything is possible.

I don't agree with the love for Jock. He's a good reserve grader. He was reasonably good today and a hero after potting that winning point. But his kicking up until then was too short.

He got no help from Luai, I don't remember him kicking at all, or doing any game management. Api had to play dual roles of dummy half and 5/8.

Maddens talk and pushing players around is very good, and it shows as our attack looks ok with him there instead of Doueihi. However. His reads in defence are poor and if his kicking game is gonna be like that, well he really doesnt off enough.

Good summary RR.
