Patea looks to have reasonable potential, but I’d say he is currently a long way behind the standard of Fonua Pole.
Fonua Pole is a must re-signing for us.

I don't think we can afford to release AD for 2027. We are slim on game changers, and regardless of what some fans say, the reality is that when AD is humming he can change the course of a game.

The issue is that he's injury prone, just like Latu.

Benji has a lot of roster decisions to make.

My issue is we aren't going to be Top 8 contender with or without Douehi so why bother keeping him

The problem probably isn’t whether we want to keep him. Its who would want to take him?

What are you talking about Vic? The solution has been said constantly and even done.....have an independent board.

Independent board sounds great, but they must be made up of the right people with the skills for running a NRL franchise. Most importantly they must have the ability to generate the capital required to run a successful franchise. Without probably doubling our operating budget we will always be bottom or close to it.

Not be logical to allow our team to succeed, very annoying.
We have 5-10 people who regularly suggest potential signings and at times make some very good suggestions.
We have 5-10 people who regularly provide updates on signing news which is very informative.
We have 5-10 people who regularly watch and provide informative updates and/or match reviews for our lower grades and pathways.
We have 5-10 people who are very good and very smart with their analysis of games and individual player performance.
Those who do not fall into those categories just come on here to whinge and whine and be critical of those who actually have an opinion or post sonething informative.

The problem is you think your the greatest mind in rugby league history and we should all bow at your feet

Good point, and without the club having to pay anything.

I'm divided on AD. Unfortunately without knowing the truthful relationship he has with Benji & how he is viewed by all his team mates, we are best to leave judgement to Benji & Pat Richards.

When you break down AD, he has attributes suited to so many positions - halves, centres, fullback, lock, 2nd row - but he lacks in at least 1 crucial area for each of those positions imo. For example, he could be a good backrower but lacks the tank & effort areas in defence.

All I hope is that Benji has a solution for halfback that is not AD and sits down with AD to map out his positional future (either a permanent switch to lock which AD is all-in on or shift to 5/8 accepting he's a bridge to Javon). If AD doesn't accept that, then he is free to explore his option to leave with no subsidy from the club.

Betterday22, I don't understand why the signing of a very talented junior impacts the prospect of another very talented junior. It is not as though our club is overrun with very talented juniors. We need to adopt the big picture view just like the Roosters and even the Knights.

Let's hope Breynton can get it together at WTs. I read a post which advised he played for the Māori Under 15s which with his stepping and attendance at Keebra Park means he has commonality with Marshall. It will be good to watch his progression under Marshall.

I always like reading the comments after each WT signing. "A little ray of sunshine has come into my world" ----- for the diehards.
Derringer was our big hope, then came Attard our next big thing. Now its Breynton.
Fingers crossed we can replace Bula who should reach his full potential in the next 2-3 years' time, then drop off on performance because of age and injuries. HaHa "Never Ending Story"

I’m all for an Independent Board, but it won’t be the soltio bless we have the right rugby league minded people as a major part of it.
Some bloke or woman who used to be the CEO of the Connonwealth Bank is not going to help us employ the right people for our rugby league department or help us with our recruitment and retention strategies.

The reality is jock is the best 7 the club has had in a very long time.

Who replaces jock at 7?

NRL.
The games @king_sirro has referenced against the Cowboys and Roosters in 2025.
As for Bryenton, just a guess but it wouldn’t be the first time recently that the Bulldogs have fallen out with young players. I reckon they are signing too many quality emerging players and cannot fulfill their promises to all of them.

Yeah it seems like the dogs stockpile all great young talent which is great for the grades but leads to players getting disgruntled if not given opportunities promised
