Latu certainly gets in some weird positions defensively, with a technique verging on dangerous looking at times when he gets so low to the ground. Still, apart from a lone(?) penalty from recollection, that odd style has been nearly as effective as his pretty well front on just under the ball hits, that regularly put big forwards on their arse.

I note that @Merlot has previously referenced the Fainu's mother talking about him being the the most talented, but susceptible to injury when growing up. On that, he was tough enough to play with a shoulder needing reconstruction without showing it, so hopefully he can turn it around like say Benji and Tedesco did.

Happy for Twal to either start or come off the bench. As you say he is a tenderiser, now with Hunt and Bunty we should be able to get our beef out in games.

Seyfarth is the player I want relegated to the bench. As a starter, he hasn't been the best. But coming off the bench where he is fresh and the opposition is tired has worked in the past.

Really hoping Marshall has ended his 3 Backs experiment with the Bench. Having KPP + Fainu in the 2RF positions should really get our pack moving.
 
Latu goes low and instead of taking the lower legs or ankles he seems to go low and flip them , as ink says refs don’t like it and it could end up a send off if one goes bad , becomes costly, I applaud him for his efforts of going in on big or small opposition but some one needs to adjust his style a bit , he has the heart and strength just needs technical advice on a better finish

There is no problem in using an oppositions players momentum to make a tackle however when it used and it can appear that is used to make it a higher chance of causing an injury to the opposite player then it can be a problem and i am sure will be seen that way by referees.It is in his own best interests to change his style in that situation.
The perception of the tackling style is very important in the minds of refs/judiciary and will continue to be so.

Absolutely laughable.
If a team is on a roll it's currently practically impossible to stop that momentum. You can go 10-15 mins without touching the ball. By which point you're so exhausted your game falls to pieces.
See Samoa yesterday after Klein cheated them out of contention.
If the team on the back foot gets the ball it at least gives them an opportunity to fight back, get field position, pin they're opponents down the other end etc.
In most sports when one team scores the other team gets the ball. Or it's a 50/50 contest.
Time for fewer blow outs given the rising disparity in talent on rosters

It's definitely worth at least trialling it for a season
