Do you know PVL’s recent history in Racing NSW and prior to that Harness Racing NSW before becoming involved with the NRL ?
The man is a magician and I don’t say that lightly about anyone.
He will force HBG to either eat humble pie and make massive changes which would quite possibly involve reinstating the dismissed board members, or if they don’t comply he will back them into a corner and make things so untenable that selling would be there only viable option.
There is no doubt he will intervene and get things back in order and I expect it will all happen very fast.
Richo would have already walked unless he was waiting on some big changes to happen and I’m guessing he’s already had in depth conversations with PVL about it.

It smells like HBG are very happy to play the long game right through to 2030 when the heritage deed expires for the Wests Tigers. At this time the club can attempt to change to Magpies with NRL approval. This year must be all about regaining control of the club which they lost due to Rick Wayde, Tony Andrecchio & Dave Gilbert supporting the review & then Julie Romero the implementation. Now all 4 are gone.

It’s interesting, from what you said, the NRL tip in ten times as much as HBG to WT. that money ultimately comes from all of us. So the NRL (and by extension we) fund WT.

What requirements do HBG need to fulfill to keep getting this massive grant that we all pay for, do you know?

They have to meet the obligations in their licence agreement.

The Wests Tigers generate more of their own revenue than the HBG provides. I also think the NRL Grant is poorly named for what it actually is. The majority of the 'NRL Grant' comes from broadcasting agreements.

All clubs are providing the NRL with product (games)to sell to the broadcasters. Ultimately the Grant is payment for that product and shouldn’t be considered a grant in the traditional sense.

So the grant money is from tv subscribers and advertising revenue, or in other words, our eyeballs.

Yeah mate I wasn't disagreeing, more stating that the NRL Grant isn't a handout. That is money the club is generating. Which means the club generates far more money than the hbg provides.

Hell the HBG would make more money out of the food and drink they sell during Wests Tigers games on the big screen then the grant they provide to the Wests Tigers.

Our major sponsor is a million $ deal so not far behind the hbg either.

It all just adds weight to PVL holding HBG to account, if most of their fans are against their actions over a prolonged period, and the product let’s face it has been shit, why should they be getting a big fat grant? That licensing agreement would be an interesting read.

Julie and WT dismissals happened after that.Repeated destsbilisation is the issue, as well as this is the most clear to be not in the interests of members.

They are sabotaging the club by removing the board that has just overseen their first profit in years, never mind also that they won some football games and got them off the bottom of the table …this is the fundamental aim of a professional sporting team you know? Winning games! …. It’s not about fighting amongst yourselves and sacking people which is all that your boys seem to do,,

Makes no sense… if there is any “proof” then release it ..now…the only things being reported in the media otherwise contradict HBG claims
