HBG, Independent Directors Sacked

Good post bwg 👍but I think you've got buckleys of anyone on the board reacting positively to a threat like "if HBG are serious about a one club future they will do this".
That's just my opinion @BZN. If HBG are serious about a unified club, fan engagement is never more important than now and they have to take it seriously.

To me, if they do not have a respectful sit-down with members/fans so all parties can understand eachother's positions, they are not fair dinkum about a successful future.

BlackWhite Gold,I think your synopsis is admirable and in a perfect world would be doable, but we are dealing with people who view WT as their own personal play thing. Giving up any part of the perks is agonisingly difficult for those who have their snouts in the trough. This ownership issue will not go away unless HBG do the unthinkable and cede power to a truely independent operation. Now, in my view, thats not going to happen unless PVL threatens to pull the licence in two years time.
I hear you and that could end up being the scenario given HBG's history. But if they want to turn this around in everyone's favour, all parties have to swallow some pride for the greater good, sit down and thrash this out. If HBG are not willing to do this after everything that has gone on over the past 2 weeks, that tells me they have absolutely no respect for one of the game's biggest stakeholders, the member/fan.

Actually as I type this and my idea of a forum put aside for a moment, WT Unite should write to HBG requesting a sit-down to hear each other out and if they decline, then this is more evidence to present to the NRL/PVL about their lack of respect for us.

"they have played a large roll"--that's different to your original claim where you just said HBG.
So, if your assertion is correct, it means HBG are not totally responsible.
Who were the other perpetrators?
Now, take a deep breath, relax and tell the truth.
Are you ok with that?
Yeah mate, I have you. Balmain played a role in this as well. Our ownership group had held this club back for 26 years.

We are the result of two poorly run footy clubs merging. Anyone still keeping us in the inner west will end the club long term.

Grow a set and move the club west. That’s if the best interest of the club are what matters. It doesn’t to many they’d rather get drunk at Leichhardt. Nostalgia is the long term killer of footy clubs. You see Dogs playing out of Belmore more than 1-2 games? LO has its purpose but Wests Ashfield in control and Balmain history being at LO around the corner we have screwed up and built a training base in concord. Ignored the west for years. It’s a comedy show. Both sides of the merger are as bad as each other.

The day we shut down concord and Leichhardt and move to cambo full time we may have a chance. Hopefully that’s the plan over time.

Rant over.
